The Bloominator is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced Badnik model created by Dr. Eggman, and the counterpart of the Bloominator from an alternate dimension set in the recent past.
Appearance
Bloominators resemble large tulip flowers. They have a large red and closed "bud" with small spikes around its surface and a gray "stalk" connected directly below to a "bulb" which is covered by four gray and spiked armor plates.
Overview
In Sonic Mania Plus' Encore Mode, Bloominators are enemies found in Angel Island Zone. In gameplay, they are completely immobile. When the playable character approaches them though, they will spit out small mines from their buds, two at a time. These mines are launched at seemingly random angles. The player is able to destroy Bloominators by attacking them with a Spin Attack-related move, although this can be tricky due to them firing projectiles. Upon their destruction, they will release an Animal and award the player with 100 points.

With their buds, Bloominators are able to fire mine-like projectiles.
