Cream the Rabbit[]

Blaze and Cream in Dead Line, from Sonic Channel.
As Blaze was traveling alone, after defeating Dr. Eggman for the first time, Cream the Rabbit had surprised her by hiding. Blaze was a little hostile, but Cream instead walked up towards her and invited her to her house, along with her mother, Vanilla the Rabbit. Blaze thought this to be calmingly eerie about the way they would treat a stranger. Cream then agreed to show Blaze around, starting their adventure, acting similar to Tails in the Sonic campaign.
Throughout, Blaze was only focused on collecting all of the Sol Emeralds but as they travel, Blaze soon feels a bond, finally seeing Cream as a friend and not a guide. She was very worried about Cream's safety after she destroyed the Eggman robot that captured Cream and briefly thought Cream had been consumed in the explosion, causing her to frantically search the robot's wreckage before she found Cream had used her flying powers to escape the explosion. Even when Blaze left to her own dimension, they had hinted on missing each other's company. During the Time Eater incident, they are seen interacting with each other again at Sonic's birthday party.
Sonic the Hedgehog[]

Blaze and Sonic shaking hands, from Sonic Rush Adventure.
Sonic the Hedgehog is one of Blaze's first true and closest friends and a valuable ally that she has come to respect and admire a lot. However, they did not start out on the best of terms. While Blaze was tracking down the Sol Emeralds during her first adventure on Sonic's world, Blaze was told by many people to team up with Sonic for her quest.[8][9][10] However, Blaze's inability to rely on others made her affronted by this.[8] Even when she finally got face-to-face with Sonic, Blaze refused to let Sonic get involved in something that she considered to be her own problem.[11] Ultimately, Blaze lost her temper and tried to make Sonic leave by force when he tried getting involved in a showdown with Dr. Eggman and his future descendant Eggman Nega at Dead Line. After their fight, however, she was encouraged by Sonic to be true to herself, instead of assuming too much responsibility. This advice helped Blaze realize that she could allow herself to rely on others if she let her guard down.[12] The two of them became real friends afterward[12] and would subsequently help each other resolve the crisis brought on by Dr. Eggman and Eggman Nega. Since then, Blaze and Sonic have steadily become better friends and allies.
During her first adventure on Sonic's world, Blaze could not care less about Sonic himself as he was not related to her present quest.[13] Refusing his help, Blaze initially had a lesser opinion about him based on what she had heard.[14] After formally crossing paths with Sonic the first time, Blaze still refused his help but also became more curious about what kind of person he was due to being impressed by how engaged he was in the well-being of the world.[15] Later, after their fight, Blaze received some nuggets of wisdom from Sonic that helped Blaze realize how selfish she had been about trying to carry the weight of the world on her own, and the two of them became friends. Following that, Blaze willingly chose to believe in Sonic, which would lead to a firm establishment of mutual faith and trust between them. This became evident when Blaze trusted him to face Eggman Nega on her behalf while Sonic entrusted her to save Cream. Also, just like Sonic acknowledges Blaze's power and skills,[12] Blaze respects Sonic's, having admitted that she bows to his skills.[16] Also, whenever Blaze's emotions get the better of her, Sonic will be there to remind her of what is important and to stay cool.[17] They have also displayed an occasional custom where they shake hands when they depart, signifying their growing friendship and the promise to meet once more.

Burning Blaze and Super Sonic before returning to their worlds, from Sonic Rush.
Blaze and Sonic are alike in many ways, having similar skills and self-assumed duties. On the other hand, they possess very different backstories and contrasting traits, the most obvious of them being Blaze and Sonic's "stoic" and "free" personalities:[18] Blaze is outwardly stoic and blunt, yet inwardly highly emotional, whereas Sonic is inwardly free and adventurous, yet outwardly level-headed and cool. When it comes down to it, Sonic's way of life stands as a deep contrast to Blaze's. However, Sonic's way of living life like an adventure also means that there is no enjoyment to be found in it if one does not follow their own rules, which demands a strong and flexible mind; in other words, it does not just mean being lax. It is thanks to this perspective that Blaze has been able to achieve some of the results that are nothing short of admirable and have brought smiles to many faces. As such, Blaze respects Sonic's way of life to a certain extent, because he has a different perspective and approach, but also produces results that overlap with the direction she is aiming for.[18]
Blaze's outlook on life has been affected in many ways by Sonic's attitude and advice; their time together has enabled Blaze to understand the meaning of friendship which ultimately led her to discover the true power of the Sol Emeralds and how to use them,[19][20] and his advice have made Blaze come to understand that her pyrokinetic powers were not the curse she made them out to be.[21]
From Blaze's point of view, Sonic is a reliable and capable person, which is a great difference from her usual attitude about others in general.[18] While she does not always agree with Sonic's lax and carefree attitude, Blaze nonetheless takes these traits in stride with casual acceptance.[22] In addition, after having been on several adventures with him, Blaze has seen Sonic's ability to do what he speaks and his ability to perform at the critical moment. These feats, in a sense, have made Blaze listen to him. It can therefore be said that she has come to recognize his abilities to a certain extent.[18] Also, while Blaze tends to push herself to solve things on her own because of her sense of responsibility, Sonic does not stop her from doing so any more than necessary. This may be due to how Sonic respects Blaze's freedom to do what she wants. However, he also seems to respect her personal principles of doing the best she can with pride in the position she is in, which he does not have. Because of her endearing trials, Sonic is able to trust and cooperate with her when the time comes.[18] Also, while Blaze might tend to alienate Sonic in the heat of moments at times because of her old ways and pride, she will nonetheless regret it as she realizes that Sonic is always there to help her out, even she thinks she is alone.[22] They are as well shown to be great partners in combat, displaying a brilliant coordination that makes it hard to believe that they don't see each other often.[23]
Additionally, the situation of living in different dimensions also affects Blaze's relationship with Sonic. Fundamentally, since they both live in different worlds, it is for the best that they take care of their own world. While they respect and honor that, they can also cooperate with each other in times of real trouble. This is a difficult balance to achieve, but so far it seems to have been adjusted to some extent by the guidance of the Chaos Emeralds and Sol Emeralds. And the fact that Blaze and Sonic are the ones who are responsible for this is another interesting aspect of their relationship.[18]
Blaze and Sonic have known each other for a long time. They trust each other very well, which extends to their trust in each of their abilities. Blaze in particular considers Sonic a paragon, although she is well aware of his big ego.[24] They have great coordination with each other, allowing them to fight against their opposition with ease.[25] When Sonic later lost his memory, she was irritated by his carefree and indifferent behavior and sought to cure his amnesia.[24]
Knuckles the Echidna[]
Blaze and Knuckles the Echidna met when Cream saw Knuckles and greeted him, and though Cream wanted Blaze to be friends with Knuckles, it didn't work out right. Knuckles was friendly until he saw Blaze holding a few Sol Emeralds, he mistook them for Chaos Emeralds and therefore gave Blaze advice to give them to Sonic. Blaze gets angry at Knuckles and tells him that she has no Chaos Emeralds. Knuckles accuses her of lying and makes an attempt to harm her, but Blaze dodges and clobbers Knuckles, knocking him out and leaving him lying in a crevice. Knuckles later wanted revenge against Blaze but was distracted by Amy. Cream convinces Blaze that Knuckles is actually a 'nice guy', which made Blaze feel relieved. Near the end of the game, Knuckles no longer shows any dislike for her as he was there with Sonic's other friends while helping Blaze with the Sol Emeralds.
After seemingly defeating the Robo Pirates in her dimension, Blaze felt puzzled about her responsibilities as both a princess and a guardian. Due to their occupations as guardians, Blaze trusted Knuckles for him to provide her with advice if it's ever acceptable to leave her duties to relax. Knuckles advised him so, as she has enough resources to do so, which he considered a gift compared to his duties. Blaze appreciated his insight, and even offered her services to protect the Master Emerald, so he could relax, to which Knuckles declined. Knuckles, meanwhile, respects Blaze and found pleasure in knowing someone who understands about responsibility like him.[26]
Amy Rose[]

Blaze and Amy, from Sonic the Hedgehog #9.
Blaze and Amy Rose are very good friends and have a great mutual respect for each other. The two first met during the Sol Emerald incident when Amy asks Cream where Sonic is. Cream then introduced Amy to Blaze and they were on good terms until Amy assumes that Blaze might like Sonic the way she does. Blaze denies it, saying that she "couldn't care less about anyone named 'Sonic'". When they meet again, Amy tries to convince Blaze she could rely on friends, and later on, helps her and Cream to get away from Knuckles who planned to attack Blaze.
Blaze expresses conflict and admiration over how Amy is able to so easily be open about how her feelings unlike herself, and while initially put off by her pushiness, admits that Amy's views on friendship "don't feel wrong".
During Dodon Pa's Grand Prix, they greet each other amicably as old friends as they share their suspicions of Dodon Pa and engage in playful banter during races.
At first, Blaze was very hostile towards Amy, but they have since learned to be friends. Blaze has also been taking on a more optimistic way of life due to Amy and the others.[27]
Silver the Hedgehog[]

Blaze and Silver, Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).
Silver the Hedgehog is Blaze's friend from a future in peril. During the events of the Solaris incident, the two worked closely in Silver's future to battle Iblis, with Blaze relying on him to do so.[28] She treated him as a friend and younger brother,[29] offering answers to his biggest questions and helping him stay grounded in reality. In exchange, Silver cared deeply for Blaze and showed concern for her safety.[30] His naivete and earnestness inspired her, something she always liked about him.[31] Despite being the more grounded of the two, Blaze allowed Silver to take the lead, such as in Mephiles' mission to destroy the Iblis Trigger.
Despite enjoying his idealism, Blaze understood that it made Silver susceptible to his emotions. Upon being separated by time travel, Blaze instantly set out to reunite with Silver, believing he required support and acting protective of him.[32] Upon finding Silver, she expressed relief. She offered guidance for his quandary about sacrificing one life to save the world, claiming that they would accomplish nothing without trying.[33]
Once Silver learned the truth of the Iblis Trigger, Blaze quickly agreed with the change of plans to save Elise. She needed to be rescued in Silver's Test of Friendship, showing their bond. She also trusted Silver's plan to finish Iblis without him explaining it, showing her renewed faith in him.[34] At the end of their journey, Blaze chose to sacrifice herself as the vessel of Iblis in Silver's place. She demanded Silver stop time and seal her into another dimension to trap Iblis; when he failed to, desperately calling her a "friend", Blaze smiled and scolded him for underestimating the depth of their bond.[31] She then faded away, separating them across time and space.
Once Solaris was erased from the timeline, Blaze and Silver's lives were altered and their relationship was forgotten. In games since, they do not retain any knowledge of this time together, though it is sometimes referenced. During the Wisp incident, Sonic comments that Silver and Blaze work in perfect sync, to which Silver replies that he feels like they have teamed up before.[35] After being rescued from the Time Eater in Sonic Generations, Blaze speaks as if she remembers Crisis City, indicating she may recall some of her time with Silver after all.[36] Silver and Blaze are also seen talking at Sonic's birthday party in the ending.
Silver and Blaze meet up again during Dodon Pa's Grand Prix, this time joining Vector to form Team Vector. The two greet each other warmly and already trust each other. While Silver is suspicious of something wrong with the tourney, Blaze is concerned by his behavior and asks him about it, agreeing to help investigate. They work together with the others to uncover and foil Eggman's plot.

Blaze protecting Silver from a Spatial-Displacement Trap from Sonic the Hedgehog #60.

Blaze admiring how Silver wants to make things better, from Sonic the Hedgehog #76.
Blaze admires Silver for his ability to act decisively and his passion for justice but realizes that he sometimes requires direction to reach his full potential. When she finds Silver discouraged, she is quick to come to his aid with encouragement, such as helping his garden grow in the Emeraldville Ruins and inviting him on a trip to visit Soleanna together.[37][38] She also admires his ability to quickly bounce back from setbacks.[39] Sonic compared their dynamic to his own with Tails, as they help cover each other's weaknesses and bring out their strengths.[38] Silver is also one of the few people able to make Blaze laugh out loud, something she seems embarrassed by, and she enjoys joking with him.[38]
Another trait about Silver that Blaze admires is how, on the face of adversity, his first thoughts are on how to resume and make things better. Shown after the destruction of Restoration HQ and the Victory Garden's flowers and vegetables. Even though Silver is upset at first, he decides to turn the garden into an orchard, which she finds ambitious and approves it.
Miles "Tails" Prower[]
Blaze first met Miles "Tails" Prower with Sonic when they were searching for her. They have interacted indirectly, but after her fight against Sonic was finished, Tails tried to convince Blaze to stop fighting and to believe in Sonic so she can rest. She was going to take that into consideration and thanked him for it, but she insisted on fighting Eggman herself. In Sonic Rush Adventure, Blaze finds Tails to be a valuable ally, when it comes to machines and sea crafts.
Marine the Raccoon[]

Blaze and Marine watching the sunset, from Sonic Rush Adventure.
Marine the Raccoon is Blaze's friend from her world. The two were allies during the Jeweled Scepter incident, though Blaze initially showed her dislike of Marine by leaving her behind in missions. However, Blaze has no choice but to let Marine come if she promises to stay with the group. Before Sonic, Tails, and Blaze depart to Pirates' Island to unlock the door and finish off the pirates, they decided to leave Marine behind this time, she however doesn't accept it. Blaze confesses to Marine that she is a nuisance which hurts her feelings. Although Sonic and Tails couldn’t blame Blaze for telling off Marine, Tails did think what she said to her sounded too harsh. Blaze and Sonic simply stated that this was “for her own good”.After Sonic and Blaze save Marine from the Ghost Titan and defeat it, Blaze is disappointed at Marine for sneaking on the Deep Typhoon to come to Pirates' Island which would've put her in grave danger. Marine however surprises Blaze by finding her stolen Jeweled Scepter. Blaze thanks Marine for the great contribution thus realizing how wrong she thought of Marine and even asks Marine to come along with them for the first time, showing more tolerance for her excitement and faith in her maturity. At the end of the incident, Blaze comforts Marine who is sad about Sonic and Tails' departure and then look at the sky hoping to see them again. As of this, Blaze's relationship with Marine seems to become very similar to Sonic's relationship with Tails.
Blaze also finds Marine to be quite reliable, trusting her the Jeweled Scepter to call her in Sonic's universe if a problem arises in hers.[26]
Gardon[]
Gardon is known for being Blaze's personal guard and swordsman of the Sol Empire. Blaze will often call his assistance for things like night watches, and he was also some help during the Jeweled Scepter incident. But even then Blaze at time wants Gardon to relax instead of acting like a strict guard and will often being seen as Blaze's companion as he along with marine convinced her to take a break after defeating Captain Whisker, Johnny and the other pirate which Blaze agrees, and he would help Marine if something went wrong showing how much he cares and respects Blaze.
Eggman Nega[]
Blaze's most nefarious adversary is undoubtedly Eggman Nega, who she has had a rather hostile past with. This can be owed to Nega's love of senseless destruction and desire to conquer, or even destroy, the world.[40] As such, she is quick to lose her composure whenever Eggman Nega threatens to destroy her kingdom, making her scream in fury and forcing nearby individuals to try and calm her down.[17] She has also described him as "far worse than Dr. Eggman" in some ways, and is constantly aware of him and the danger he can bring to her people. Nevertheless, Blaze has also shown frustration and disappointment whenever she sees Nega leave without a prior fight.[40]
Dr. Eggman[]

Blaze after defeating Dr. Eggman, who had kidnapped Cream, from Sonic Rush.
Like with Eggman Nega, Blaze has an opposition against Dr. Eggman. She opposes the idea of Eggman building "Eggmanland" in either her or Sonic's dimension, deeming it mad. While she dislikes him it seems to not be as much as her hatred of Eggman Nega, possibly since he is substantially more sane.
In Sonic Rush it was because of Eggman that Blaze was lost in Sonic's dimension. Dr. Eggman steals Blaze's Sol Emeralds in her world, which causes her to chase after him. While in pursuit, she sees a bright light and then passes out. When she wakes up, she questions whether or not she's in a different dimension; she finds out that she is in another one entirely and Eggman still has all of the emeralds. Throughout the game, she is tracking down Eggman to collect all of the Sol Emeralds back. Later, Eggman sends a letter to Blaze that he has kidnapped Cream, which makes Blaze get serious, and tracks him down to save her friend. Blaze destroys Eggman's robot and rescues Cream.
Captain Whisker[]
Blaze appears to be easily annoyed and angered by Captain Whisker due to the fact that he took her Jeweled Scepter. She finds him to be a waste of time and does not treat him as seriously as she does other villains.
Tangle the Lemur[]

Tangle thanking Blaze, from Sonic the Hedgehog #4.
Tangle the Lemur looks up to Blaze and was charmed by her powers and origins. In return, Blaze allowed Tangle to call her by her name. Tangle was very grateful for Blaze's help in her home town when it was under attack by Badniks. Later, Blaze even suggested that she stayed and helped calm the flames that still raged on in Spiral Hill Village. Later on, when the Resistance had to band together to fight against Neo Metal Sonic, Blaze showed off the Sol Emeralds, to which Tangle was very impressed by.
