Blast Off is a Skill used by Modern Sonic in the console/PC version of Sonic Generations. When equipped, this Skill grants one free Boost.
Overview
When using Blast Off, the player will receive an extra Boost, free of energy consumption, if they press 
/
when the word "GO" shows on screen at the start of an Act. While useful for getting a flying start, the Boost itself is brief, although if the boost button is held down Sonic will continue boosting as normal.
To unlock Blast Off, the player can buy it at the Skill Shop from the beginning of the game for 500 Shop Points. It can only be equipped to Modern Sonic and costs 10 Skill Points to be equipped.
