The Black Wall[1] is an enemy that appears in Shadow Generations. It is a breed of Black Arms.

Appearance[]

Black Walls are similar in appearance to the Black Oaks, being larger variants of the generic Black Warriors. Major differences include spikes on their shoulders, a yellow light on their chest, and two large appendages with yellow lights sprouting from their backs.

Overview[]

In Shadow Generations, the Black Walls make their first appearance. They serve as Black Doom's minions, attempting to challenge Shadow's progress through his journey, as Black Doom wishes to draw out the full potential of Shadow's new Doom Powers. They are encountered in Kingdom Valley, Sunset Heights, Radical Highway, and the White Space hub world.

Like the rest of the Black Arms, Black Walls are encouraged as targets of Doom Blast. When Shadow is far away, they project wide barriers that move forwards, and knock Shadow backwards harmlessly if he touches them. These shields can be dispelled with a single Chaos Spear. Once Shadow gets close, they defend themselves with a pentagonal shield, whose five sections can be dispelled with Doom Spears. If Shadow lingers too long next to a Black Wall, they will project a spherical energy wave around themselves, damaging Shadow if he is caught in the blast zone. After their defenses are lowered, Shadow can then use the Doom Blast to destroy them and progress further in the stage.

Powers and abilities[]

Black Walls are able to project sturdy force-fields from the hands as well as energy waves to harm their opponents.
