The Black Tank^[1]^[2] (ブラックタンク^[3], Burakku Tanku^?) is a vehicle that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a powerful tank used by the Black Arms.

Description[]

Appearance[]

The Black Tank somewhat resembles a stealth bomber with a tail. It is jet black in color and covered with a substance made by the Black Arms.

Armament[]

The tank is capable of flight and is surrounded by two shields that can withstand many attacks until its defense is broken. Oddly enough though, it possesses no weapons of any kind.

Overview[]

The Black Tank only appears in Lethal Highway, where the Hero mission is to destroy it. The best way to defeat the Black Tank is using a rapid-fire weapon, preferably from the Black Arms though the most effective weapon is the Shadow Rifle and the Gatling Gun which can be obtained behind the Secret Door. With the maximum of forty ammo, it can easily take out the tank in below ten seconds. The tank has two shields. The first is blue and the second is green. Once all the shields are gone, it begins to leak black gases from its armor until it is destroyed. However, the lack of any special weapon obtainable from beating story sequences, it will take a few minutes to destroy the Black Tank since the Black Tank hides astray at some points of the stage for a short period of time.

Trivia[]

Oddly, Sonic states that guns are useless against the Black Tank, yet the best way to defeat it is with guns.
