The Black Shield is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is the defense matrix utilized by Metal Sonic.

Description

When using Black Shield, Metal Sonic forms an indigo-colored octahedral energy field around him as defense. This shield is strong enough to withstand power blows and energy beams without breaking.
