Birdie is a character that appears in the Sonic Prime television series. She is a Flicky that was held prisoner in the chest of Rusty Rose who was believed to be her source of power.
Appearance[]
Birdie is a small Flicky with pink feathers, brown eyes, yellows cheeks, a yellow beak, white feathers on her chest, and yellow talons.
History[]
Season one[]

Birdie is first seen being displayed by Rusty Rose to Sonic as a demonstration to Sonic of how truly heartless she is.
Season three[]
Before battling against Alpha Grim Amy, Rusty unlocks her chest cavity, knowing she didn't truly need Birdie to power her, as this was a lie of the Chaos Council. Birdie jumped onto Rusty's hand and flew away. After Alpha Grim Amy's defeat, Birdie returns to Rusty, much to her happiness.

Birdie and Rusty Rose were once enemies due to Birdie being used as Rusty's source of power. However, after Rusty finally comes to the realization that she did not need Birdie to power her, she decides to let Birdie free.

- Birdie is based on the pink Flicky that was inside E-102 Gamma, whom Amy befriended in Sonic Adventure. This was one of the suggestions of Ian Flynn for the show.[citation needed]
