At some point in the past, Big would meet Sonic, and would help him save Green Hill from Doctor Eggman's forces on several occasions.[1]
Big spending time with his friends, from "Barking Up the Wrong Tree".
Sometime after Sonic Advance 3, Big gathered with Froggy, Knuckles, Tails, Rouge, Amy, and Birdie around a palm tree in Green Hill to surprise Sonic by presenting him with the tree, which they had all formed fond memories around. Big specifically reminisced about how once while nearby the palm tree, he laughed wile eating a Chili dog, resulting in the chili being shot up his nose, an event which resulted in Big's inability to smell. Sonic, however, missed the point of the presentation put together by his friends, and was ultimately displeased, more interested by the plate of chili dogs which had been offered.[2]
Season one[]

While walking through Green Hill with Froggy, Big would accidentally be spun around by Sonic, who was hurriedly collecting Rings in preparation for a battle against Dr. Eggman. Sonic would stop big from falling over, before quickly rushing back off as Big waved goodbye. A short while later, Big would be accidentally spun around in a similar manner, this time by Shadow. However, when Sonic broke the Paradox Prism, Big had Shatter Variants of him created in the Shatterverse. His alternate counterparts are: Denizen 1998 from New Yoke City, Hangry Cat from Boscage Maze, and Catfish from No Place.[1]
Season two[]

When Sonic and Shadow were visiting the distorted Green Hill one day, ghosts of Sonic's friends could be seen around the dimension. Big's hologram resides near the location of the Paradox Prism, repeatedly saying "No problem, Sonic." in a loop.[3]
Season three[]
Big and friends are ready to fight back, from "From the Top".
Once Green Hill is restored, the timeline resets to a point before the Prism incident. Big is seen fishing on the deck near the beach, along with Froggy. He is excited when Sonic arrives with chili dogs. A sudden explosion ruins their picnic, and something big in the sky comes towards the beach. Big and his friends are determined to fight back, and they all run into battle.[4]
