Benedict[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing. It is a Scrapnik, an amalgamation of Badnik parts and it once served the Eggman Empire. It now resides on Scrapnik Island as one of E-117 Sigma's assistants.[2]
Appearance[]
Benedict is an Eggrobo with the gray legs of another badnik. It also has a yellow coat tied around his "hip". It also has a big wrench on its back. Like Florentine, Benedict also has a jetpack on its back. Unlike Florentine and Rancheros, it only has one eye, as it's missing its right eye.
History[]
Past[]
At some point in the past, it served for Dr. Eggman and his empire. After being discarded by its creator, it ended in a rocky island with pile of junks called "Scrapnik Island" and became a "Scrapnik".[2]
Scrapnik Island[]
While Sonic and Tails were relaxing outside, Benedict and the other Eggrobo Scrapniks were helping Sigma to rebuild the Tornado.[2]
Later, they went to see Tails to tell them that they have finished assessing the damage from the Tornado. It then hold the integrated drive generator, with the help of Rancheros to show that it's broken and that they needed a replacement for it. Sigma then ordered it, Rancheros and Florentine to check the necessary tools and materials for Tails' repairs.[2]

Personality[]
Benedict is a robot of free will and has quite a friendly personality, even with the fact that it is mute. It is loyal to Sigma and is quite a helpful assistant.[2]

- Benedict's legs are similar to the legs of Heavy the Robot.
- Benedict's name is a reference to eggs Benedict, a common food dish.
