Ben Bates is an American comic artist who did work for Archie Comics on the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series. He did pencils from 2010-2013, and continued to do covers for a few years afterwards.
Drawing career
Outside of Sonic, his work can also be seen in the Mega Man comic and the New Crusaders comic, the former being an Archie-owned comic, the latter being from Archie's Red Circle imprint. Outside of Archie Comics he has done pencils for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and My Little Pony for IDW along with Pencils for Teen Titans Go and Inks for Scribbenauts Unmasked: A Crisis Of Imagination for DC Comics. He also works in animation, having served as a storyboard artist on Marvel Animation, primarily on Avengers Assemble. He's currently at Cartoon Network Studios, as a model sheet designer on OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes!.
