Omega reconfigures his claws to cannon units to fire a laser beam that ignores armor.

— Description, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood[1]

Bean Cannon (ビームガン Bīmugan?, lit. "Beam Gun") is a POW move used by E-123 Omega in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. When performing this move, Omega fires a laser beam at an enemy. This attack pierces armor and may leave the foe vulnerable.

When performing Beam Cannon, Omega walks up in front of his opponent and reconfigures his hand claws into cannon units. Omega then aims his cannon units at his target and fires an intense yellow laser beam at his opponents, before retreating.

In gameplay, Beam Cannon deals attack damage to a single target. When dealing damage, Beam Cannon pierces armor and has a chance of inflicting vulnerable on the target. The higher the level of Beam Cannon is, the more attack damage it will deal and the greater the possibility that it will inflict vulnerable on an opponent.

Real-Time Interaction

When performing Beam Cannon in gameplay, the player has to complete a series of real-time events by performing certain actions on the Touch Screen, in order to execute Beam Cannon optimally. For these actions, the player has to touch the inside of four circles in succession when the outer circles overlap the inner circles. Missing or not touching these circles correctly will either result in Omega missing the strike or the damage from the attack being reduced.

Level PP Cost Damage Effect
I 5 250% of Attack damage Armor Piercing, Vulnerable I (50% chance)
II 5 275% of Attack damage Armor Piercing, Vulnerable I (70% chance)
III 5 300% of Attack damage Armor Piercing, Vulnerable I (100% chance)
