"Battle in the Boscage" is the tenth episode of the Sonic Prime television series, and the second episode of season two. It premiered on Netflix on 13 July 2023.
Synopsis[]
As the Chaos Council searches for the Boscage Prism Shard, Sonic realizes there's only one way to stop the robots from destroying the forest: a battle.

Plot[]
The episode begins in the Boscage Maze with Thorn Rose riding on Birdie to look for her hammer containing the green Shard. They discover it, and the vine Sonic tripped on in the closing moments of "Barking Up The Wrong Tree".
In the present day, the Chaos Council arrived in their Mothership and left Dr. Don’t and Dr. Babble with a mission to retrieve the Shard, though they didn’t like the Shatterspace, but they had Nine with them as well.
Some drones were sent to locate the Shard. One of them detected some Shard Energy near the Great Green, until Thorn ambushed them and fought them off. However, some Eggforcers showed up so Thorn decided to run. Sonic arrived and saw some Eggforcers with buzzsaws chopping down some trees and attacked them. Afterwards, Sonic went looking for the Scavengers.
Meanwhile, Dr. Don’t complained on how it was taking forever to locate the Shard until Dr. Babble notified him that Sonic is at the Boscage Maze. Sonic found the Scavengers arguing with Thorn that they should fight to protect their home but the others refused. After they refused, Sonic decided to go down there and help Thorn until they were ambushed by Babble’s mech suit. Don’t then took control of an Eggforcer and fought off Thorn while Babble fought off Sonic, giving Nine time to hack an Eggforcer. After realizing some Shard Energy was detected inside Birdie, the two doctors chased after Thorn and Birdie.
While Don’t was distracted, Nine took full control of an Eggforcer to communicate with Sonic. Nine then upgraded his Regulators so that Sonic can communicate with Nine and touch the Shards without teleporting. After that, Don’t got suspicious and told Nine he’ll be watching him.
Thorn was then surrounded, but Sonic showed up. But they were still outnumbered, however, the Scavengers decided to help them. Prim told Thorn that she decided to help because it’s their home and she’s ready to fight for it. Sonic told Thorn to give him the Shard so that he can get it out of here. After agreeing, Thorn had Birdie spit it out, which grossed out Sonic and Don’t. Then Sonic took the Shard and made a run for it.
Don’t told Babble to get the Shard, but there were both attacked and Thorn attacked Babble breaking his mace-rattle. After realizing it, Babble threw a tantrum and Don’t tried to calm him down, but failed, and Babble continued attacking some Eggforcers. As Sonic ran far away, he saw that his allies were pinned down and decided to go back to help them using the Shard. However, Don’t and Babble were successful and took the Shard.
Sonic tried to go after them but was blasted away by Don’t’s ship engine. However, Prim catches him and carries him close to get a good throw then was carried by Birdie and promised Thorn to restore their home and jumped through the portal on time.
In the Void, Sonic told Nine he was gonna save him, but Nine told Sonic to after the next Shard and that he'll will figure out to retrieve them all from the inside, but Don’t got highly suspicious. Shadow then teased Sonic since he still doesn’t trust him. Sonic told Shadow that Nine is on their side, and as he talked, Shadow said that he will help and spin dashed him into No Place, with Sonic splashing into the water.

Trivia[]
- When Sonic angrily tells Prim that he's going to help Thorn, his irises briefly glow blue; a reference to the Sonic the Hedgehog film series.
- The scene where Sonic dodges a punch in slow motion while playing "speed tag" with Dr. Babble's mech is a reference to Sonic doing the same in the opening cutscene to Sonic Unleashed, hence the pose.
- The scene where Thorn narrowly misses an Eggforcer's buzzsaw is a nod to The Matrix, specifically, the part where Neo dodges many bullets.
Errors[]
- When Dr Don't says "No way am I letting that annoying hedgehog trip us up again!", when he look on the screen where Sonic smashes an Eggforcer with his fist, for a brief moment, Sonic's gloves can be seen, and they are his regular gloves. not his Boscage Maze gloves/Boscage Blades.
- When Thorn pets Birdie before heading down to fight the Eggforcers, Gnarly's hat twitches for a brief moment.
