The Battle Fortress is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is the mobile flagship of the Battle Bird Armada.[1]

Description[]

Features and abilities[]

The Battle Fortress carries the entire compliment of the Battle Bird Armada, along with their various weapons and other equipment. It is capable of flight, being submerged and disguised as an island, and possesses as well unmatched firepower.[1][2][3]

History[]

Tails Adventure[]

The Battle Fortress was briefly disguised as a small island near Cocoa Island while the Battle Bird Armada conducted operations there. Its true form was revealed after it was infiltrated by Miles "Tails" Prower. After Tails defeated the Armada, the fortress fell from the sky.[2]

Panic in the Sky[]

During the Shattered World Crisis, the Battle Fortress was used to ram the Sky Patrol in a surprise attack on the Freedom Fighters.[3][4]
