The Banger (バンガー, Bangā^?) is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a wheel-shaped enemy which dwells on Kronos Island.

Appearance

The Bangers are robotic construct sporting a crimson polyhedronal "core" each with a crimson wheel-like ring surrounding it, and two sharp rhombus-like black structures floating near their left and right sides.

Overview

In Sonic Frontiers, the Bangers appear as enemies. They can be found only on Kronos Island. In gameplay, when they detect the player, the Bangers will charge, then rush towards the player. The player cannot dodge the attack by any means. In order to defeat this enemy, the player will need to hit them only once, and their health gauge will be emptied. If the player uses Cyloop to defeat the enemy, it will automatically be destroyed, however, if they used a regular attack, the Banger will start chasing after the player, with the only way to be defeated is to use Parry or to wait long enough to self-destruct itself.

Similarly to other enemies, the Bangers drop items, ranging from Skill Pieces to Vault Keys.

Powers and abilities

Thanks to its wheel-like body, the Banger can travel at high speeds, which it uses as a method of attack by ramming enemies.

Weaknesses

The Banger is very vulnerable, being destroyed in only one hit. It also self-destructs, only being able to attack once.
