The Banana Cruiser's design is derived from the design of the Blazing Banana from Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. It is a yellow, orange and green racecar built in the shape of a banana bunch. It is more vintage-inspired than the Blazing Banana with a large grill on the front, a 1960s style chrome bumper underneath it (although it is painted green). There are two large circular headlights on the outer bananas that resemble the balls that monkeys are depicted in from the games. The Banana Cruiser has a long bonnet with a small hot rod style windshield at the end. Behind the driver seat is a roll-bar that resembles a goal from the games. A large rear spoiler with an arrow on it can be seen on the back of the Banana Cruiser on the stalks of the bananas which hold it up, with the two canards on the spoiler resembling bananas. Two bananas at the rear of the Banana Cruiser act as exhausts. The rear of the Banana Cruiser has two arches which sit over the rear wheels.
The rims on the Banana Cruiser's wheels resemble the balls that monkeys are depicted in from the games. The tires have a pattern similar to that of the pattern seen in levels from the games.
The overall design of the Banana Cruiser is round in shape, taking many design inspirations from the Blazing Banana and the Super Monkey Ball games.
