The Bam-Boost is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Boost Item used primarily to increase the user's speed.

Description[]

The Bam-Boost's takes the appearance of a swirling gust of wind surrounded by green leaves, both as an icon and on the tracks.

Overview[]

In gameplay, the Bam-Boost can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Panda Amy.

Once obtained, the player can utilize the Bam-Boost by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Bam-Boost will increase the speed of the user for a short amount of time and Panda Amy will enter a rolling animation. The duration of the Bam-Boost is shown by the decreasing gauge on top of this power-up's icon on the bottom of the HUD whenever the Bam-Boost is in effect. In addition, if the rival characters are caught within the trail of the Bam-Boost, they will be continually slowed down unless they change their lane.
