Ballot Stuffer Bot,[3] also known as Stuffer Bot[1] or Vote-bot,[2] is a character that appears in the Sonic Boom series. It is a robot created by Dr. Eggman whose primary function is stuffing ballot boxes.

Appearance[]

Stuffer Bot is a slightly-above medium-sized, quadruple robot. It has a red rectangular and slightly bend prism-shaped body with an opening on the front, and it possesses four legs resembling table legs. These legs are connected to the body by yellow joints across two smaller arches. On its rear, it has a red chair for Eggman to sit on, and it has a flat red head with a gray and spiked lower jaw and light blue eyes up front. It also has two retractable handlebars for horns and a retractable wheel on its bottom to move around.

The Ballot Stuffer Bot model Eggman used for Bot Racing was given a complete overhaul in design. More humanoid in shape, this model retains the original's torso and head, but with its head half-buried on top of its torso and its chair removed. Its two tentacles have also become fully-fledged arms with three-fingered gauntlets, and it possesses two legs with armored lower halves. It also has green armor with yellow details.

History[]

In Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, a modified Ballot Stuffer Bot was chosen as one of Dr. Eggman's EggBot Racers to beat Sonic in a racing competition. Receiving Eggman's new Ragnium fuel and other upgrades, Ballot Stuffer Bot gained a massive speed boost and new abilities. When its turn came to race Sonic, however, Ballot Stuffer Bot proved no match for Sonic.

TV series[]

Season one[]

Ballot Stuffer Bot was created by Dr. Eggman for stuffing ballot boxes, but he was unable to find any use for it. When the yearly Awardy Award was to be handed out, Ballot Stuffer Bot was used by Eggman to give himself enough fake votes be a nominee. Stutter Bot was latter summoned by Eggman to force the guests at the Awardy Awards to give him the award when he lost to Leroy the Turtle. Eggman used Ballot Stuffer Bot to attack fellow nominee Sticks, but the badger fought back long enough for her and Sonic to damage it, forcing Eggman to escape on Ballot Stuffer Bot.[1]

As a part of an Eggman scheme, Ballot Stuffer Bot secretly snuck a batch of Evil Cookies to Sonic's Shack for Sonic to eat, only for the scheme to fail.[4] Ballot Stuffer Bot later went to city hall with Orbot riding it to find a form Eggman needed to pass a law after he had gained control of the Village with the mayor's approval stamp. Amidst Ballot Stuffer Bot's search though, it got taken out by Knuckles.[5] Later, to avoid being evicted for housing robots, Ballot Stuffer Bot was hidden by Eggman during the Archipelago Homeowners Association's visit to his lair.[6]

Season two[]

After getting scolded by Eggman for trying to clean up the doctor's mess, Ballot Stuffer Bot joined Orbot and Cubot's strike action while also scorning Eggman's replacement lackeys. As it was about to give up though, Eggman cracked and agreed to treat it better (but still without respect).[3] Ballot Stuffer Bot later helped attack Team Sonic when Eggman lured the team into a trap. Knuckles, however, destroyed it during the fight.[7] After it got rebuilt, Eggman had it try out for a soccer team he was assembling, but it got cut since the only thing it could do was making ballots.[8] When Eggman then had to keep Sonic from delivering the doctor's order from Meh Burger to his lair within three minutes, in an attempt to humiliate Sonic for his incompetence at delivering his order on time, Ballot Stuffer Bot would act as an obstacle at Eggman's lair. However, it could not keep Sonic from arriving on time.[9]

Personality[]

Like many of Dr. Eggman's robots, Ballot Stuffer Bot is completely silent. Under normal circumstances, it is single-minded, ruthless in battle and unquestioningly dedicated to Eggman's orders. Because it is designed for stuffing ballots however, it does not know how to carry out more delicate tasks, like cleaning, on its own; according to Eggman, ballot stuffing is Ballot Stuffer Bot's answer to everything.[3]

In spite of its demeanor, Ballot Stuffer Bot does possess a degree of free will and emotional capabilities, allowing it to make its own choices and express things like dislikes. However, it is weak-willed and depends on Eggman to avoid being sent to the scrapheap, meaning it cannot act independently for long before coming groveling back to the doctor.[3]

Powers and abilities[]

Ballot Stuffer Bot's primary function is to mass-produce written ballot papers and can produce a fairly large amount of them in few seconds. However, this function is useless in battle. It also possesses two retractable tentacles with small fingers and a tail that can fire lasers with enough concussive force to blow away tables.[1] As an Eggman robot, it is also able to receive power remotely from Eggman's lair.[10]

Weakness[]

Being an Eggman robot, Ballot Stuffer Bot relies on Eggman's lair to provide it with power. As such, should the lair run out of power, then it will too.[10]

Trivia[]

  • Ballot Stuffer Bot's head was used for the design of Decimator Bot.
