Balkary
Balkiry is a bird-like plane Badnik that appears in Sky Chase Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive.
Balkiry also appear in Sky Chase in the game Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure.
Attack Pattern
Balkiries usually come in groups of two and three in Sky Chase Zone. They are not particularly dangerous, although they tend to move quickly and can take the player unawares.
Sonic the Comic
Balkiry badniks appeared frequently in issues of Sonic the Comic as standard flying units of Doctor Ivo Robotnik's badnik army.
Sonic X
A robot called E-11 Beacon is based on Balkiry. And can be seen in "Skirmish in the Sky"
