The Badnik Tank is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series and its spin-offs produced by Paramount Pictures. It is a tank-based Badnik created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik, and the first Matryoshka Drone.[1]

Appearance[]

The Badnik Tank is a bulky, six-wheel Badnik roughly the size of a pickup truck, with a black hull, white roof, and a glowing red eye.

History[]

Film series[]

Past[]

The Badnik Tank was created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik under funding from the United States government. Upon its creation, the Quad Drone was stored within it.

Sonic the Hedgehog[]

After pinpointing Sonic and Tom's location on the road to San Francisco, Dr. Robotnik sent the Badnik Tank to intercept them by harpooning Tom's truck. While swerving in an attempt to loosen the harpoon, Tom rammed into a traffic barrier, knocking Sonic out of the open window and onto the windshield. Slamming on the gas, Tom managed to dislodge the harpoon from the dashboard but launched Sonic into the air, striking the Tank with an accidental chaos energy infused Spin Attack. The Tank was flipped on its side, totaled, before Robotnik deployed the Quad Drone from its undercarriage.

Powers and abilities[]

Despite its bulk, this Badnik model is quite fast, capable of keeping up with a pickup truck. It also comes equipped with a frontal harpoon launcher to latch onto other vehicles and pull them towards it. It is capable of ejecting the lesser, four-wheeled Quad Drone from its undercarriage.
