The Badnik Johnny is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. A Badnik built by Commander Brutus, it was modeled after Freedom Fighter Johnny Lightfoot.
History
When Brutus launched his rebellion in the Metropolis Zone, he captured Johnny and Amy Rose[1] and had them turned into Badniks.[2] The Badnik Johnny and Badnik Amy attacked Sonic, but Sonic was unwilling to use his full strength on them for fear of hurting his friends. However, when Badnik Johnny attacked Shortfuse the Cybernik, Shortfuse angrily hit him with a laser blast, destroying the Badnik casing and freeing Johnny again.[3]
