Aypex is a character who appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. Aypex was apparently a legendary champion that rebelled against the Bzzz and threw the bee-like species away. A statue was built in honor of him, holding six red Chaos Emeralds.

Appearance[]

Aypex apparently had the design of a regular Blodex individual, containing six arms and having an appearance similar to an ant. He had a beard below his sides on his head, and had a tail.

History[]

Early life[]

Aypex had rebelled against the Bzzzz Queen and the Bzzz kind, but failed to defeat the invaders. However, after a flood of red Chaos Emeralds rained from space, Aypex used the powers of the Chaos Emeralds to slay the queen and buzz off the Bzzz kind away from Thoraxia.[1]

Legacy[]

A statue was built in honor of Aypex, containing six red Chaos Emeralds. The Chaos Emeralds would be used by Sonic the Hedgehog to transform into Super Sonic to slay the Bzzz kind once again at least a thousand years after Aypex defeated the Bzzz Queen.[1] The statue would remain to hold the red Chaos Emeralds until the gems were pulled away during the Great Harmony, caused by A.D.A.M..[2]

Powers and abilities[]

As a Blodex, Aypex could communicate with other beings telepathically.

Trivia[]

  • Aypex is never seen in the comic, but is shown instead via his statue.
