This is the transcript of the Sonic Prime episode, "Avoid the Void".

[The episode starts with a black screen]

Shadow: What did you do?

Tails: Be careful. Sonic, wait!

Dr. Eggman: Get that rock out of the ground!

[Screaming and an explosion echo before the background flashes to white. Sonic falls out into the Void, incapacitated.]

[Scene: Void]

[Shadow appears, holding a Chaos Emerald.]

Shadow: Sonic.

[He traverses and teleports through the void to find Sonic.]

Astral Figure Tails: As long as I'm around, you'll always have a wingman.

Astral Figure Amy: The forest is the most beautiful place on Earth.

Astral Figure Knuckles: I don't need the details, just tell me who to smash.

Astral Figure Rouge: You may not like the way I do things but I get things done.

Astral Figure Amy: I may be the one who can bring everyone together, but there's only one hedgehog they'll follow into battle.

[Shadow sees that Sonic in heading towards the Portal's gateway. Sonic falls through, with a flash of white light, much to Shadow's fury. The gateway blocks Shadow from entering the Portal. He groans and struggles as he tries to break through. He in then blown back, causing him to hit a glass rock and drop the Chaos Emerald into the chasm. He then crashes onto another rock, rubbing his head in pain. He looks at his hands, realizing there's no Chaos Emerald in them.]

Shadow: The Chaos Emerald!

[Shadow looks around, before trying to escape through the gateway again, repeatedly punching it. His punching triggers flashbacks of Sonic in his earlier episodes.]

Sonic: My shoes.

Tails Nine: Attach these.

[Tails Nine attaches Regulators onto Sonic's shoes and gloves.]

Tails Nine: This energy is still a mystery.

[Shadow continues punching through the gateway, triggering flashbacks of Yoke HQ where Sonic runs around a hamster-ball like object with all his might. Shadow stops punching and drops back as the gateway generate a ball of light with blue and purple streaks. As soon as the ball fully appears, Shadow dives in to punch it.]

Shadow: Sonic, it's broken! It's all broken.

[A shockwave explodes from Yoke HQ, followed by the Void, and New Yoke City, throwing Denizens around uncontrollably. Shadow lands on a rock and walks towards the Gold Portal. Another flashback shows Sonic getting sucked in by the pink Prism Shard's energy, leaving Tails Nine behind, transporting him towards the green portal. Shadow chases and faces Sonic - surrounded by a white aura.]

Shadow: Sonic!

[Sonic then falls through the green gateway and back into the Void, flying into the Pink Portal gateway, causing Shadow to stop in anger. Sonic, at New Yoke City, peels out in a white aura.]

Sonic: Huh? What's going on?

[A hologram of Shadow appears in his aura.]

Shadow: Sonic! Keep running! Do not stop!

[Sonic warps out of the Pink Gateway and into the Blue one. Shadow tries to follow him but it's too late once again. He stops and becomes even more mad. In No Place, in slow-motion, the Shard flies into Sonic's face, causing him to warp again at high speed. Shadow kicks the rock directly into Sonic's face, preventing him from warping. He rubs his head in pain, then looks at his rival]

Sonic: Shadow?

[The opening theme plays]

Sonic: I don't have time to deal with whoever you are. I just wanna go home.

Shadow: Home? Home doesn't exist anymore, because of you!

[An enraged Shadow dives and punches Sonic, causing him to blow back and land on another rock, leaving a mark. As he dodges, Shadow punches into the rock that Sonic landed on. Sonic jumps from rock to rock to avoid Shadow...]

Sonic: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Whoa! Ooh! Ooh!--

[...but slips on one of them.]

Sonic: Ahh! [Low voice] Can't you just leave me alone?

[Shadow sneaks in and kicks Sonic, causing him to bounce off another three rocks. Shadow growls and chases him again. Sonic tries to grab hold of a rock, but fails, slamming into another one on his back before landing safely onto another rock.]

Sonic: Alright. [He runs, in low gravity.] Gonna get back to New Yoke City. Find Nine. Heh, maybe Nine will pass through and I can catch a ride. [Shadow appears from under a rock and flies behind him on his level.] Ugh, you again? Let me guess, you're Grumpy Shadow. Although that would be redundant. Shadow who needs a shower. Sheriff Shadow of Floating Rock World!

[The camera cuts to a 2.5D view of the rock's edge. Sonic jumps off the end of the rock. At the same time, Shadow flies up from underneath the rock. Shadow grabs Sonic's leg and drags and somersaults him into another rock. He then pulls him up and does the same procedure again.]

Shadow: [Frowning] I'm stuck in here and it's all your fault, Sonic!

Sonic: [Uninterested] Yeah, yeah, what else is new? Wait, how do you know my name? [Shadow's teeth start shaking.] Unless... [Gasps; happily] Shadow, you're you! The real you!

[He gets up and hugs him, but Shadow pushes him off.]

Shadow: The only me.

[Shadow punches Sonic - who dodges - breaking the rock apart.]

Shadow: You just don't listen. What part of "Our home doesn't exist anymore!" are you not understanding?

[They land on a rock]

Sonic: [Miserably] What did you just say?

Shadow: What do you think I've been trying to tell you? When you broke the Paradox Prism, you broke our reality. Green Hill is gone. It doesn't exist anymore!

[Sonic starts feeling down and guilty, clenching his eyes.]

Sonic: I know I caused this. It just keeps getting worse.

Shadow: [Sighs] Follow me.

[Shadow takes off. Sonic follows him, jumping off rocks along the way.]

Sonic: How did you end up in here?

Shadow: I chased you up the Temple Mountain and into the cave just as you shattered the Prism. So I used the Chaos Emerald to teleport out. But when I reappeared, I was here.

Sonic: Stuck between the Shatter spaces.

[Shadow leads Sonic towards the red Portal.]

Shadow: Yeah. The Void.

[Sonic looks at the gateway.]

Sonic: So that must be the New Yoke City Gateway.

[Lights glow on Sonic's shoes as he closes in on the gateway.] Have you been able to see me this whole time?

Shadow: Not exactly.

[The flashback of a Sonic in a hamster-ball like object generating energy plays.]

Shadow: When you get going fast you kick up Prism energy and it thins the veil to the Void. It's like it's opening a portal through the Gateway.

Sonic: [Clicks his finger as he figures something out] So that must be how I teleported into No Place. I was looking for Nine, I started running fast and then suddenly I portalled out of New Yoke.

[Shadow flies off, leaving the Portal. Sonic follows him.]

Shadow: I've tracked you as you've gone from Gateway to Gateway.

[Sonic sees the blue gateway...]

Sonic: No Place. Boscage Maze. [...followed by the green gateway. He points to a black space down below.] What's down there?

[The flashback of the gateway pushing Shadow and dropping the Chaos Emerald plays.]

Shadow: Not sure. From what I can tell, it's an eternity of darkness. [The flashback ends.] That decays all life.

Sonic: [Sighs, miserably] Game over! Why didn't you just follow me in?

Shadow: You can get into those places, but I can't! With one exception.

[The flashback of the portal exploding a shockwave plays, affecting Shadow. He gets up.]

Shadow: When you unleashed a shockwave from New Yoke, it blew me back to the outer reaches of the Void. And lead me here. [The yellow gateway appears.] And for reasons I haven't figured out yet, this Gateway let me in. Maybe it's because the shatter space isn't fully formed, or maybe it's decaying, I'm not sure. But it's not whole.

[The flashback ends]

Shadow: Like a ghost.

Sonic: So, then... what is this place?

Shadow: Come see for yourself.

[Shadow flies into the yellow gateway. Sonic follows him.]

[Scene Change: Ghost Hill.]

[They warp into the area. Sonic falls and screams. While Shadow makes a safe landing, Sonic dives head first. He groans in pain, but gets up as soon he notices the colors of the landscape are similar to Green Hill.]

Sonic: Whoa, this one looks like home! [He smiles as he explores the place, running through the Loop-de-Loop.] The Loop-de-Loop! Hedgehog's Pass! [Sonic stops as soon as he sees Tails' lab.] Tails' lab! [He then runs to the beach, punching his fists in delight; affectionately] Palm trees! [He hugs a palm tree.] Mmm, just like home.

Ghost Hill Tails: As-- long as I'm around, you'll always have a wingman.

[--Sonic's eyes open as he hears the voice. He sees 'Tails' flying on the spot.]

Sonic: Tails!

[He runs towards 'him'.]

Ghost Hill Tails: As long as I'm around, you'll always have a wingman.

[Sonic goes to 'him', appearing to be typing on his phone.]

Sonic: [Affectionately] Oh, Tails, you have no idea how much I've missed hearing that.

[The camera pans to 'Amy', sat on a palm tree with 'Birdie' flapping on the spot, back to Sonic...]

Ghost Hill Amy: The forest is the most beautiful place on Earth!

Sonic: Amy!

[...and then to 'Knuckles', doing lifting exercises on a rock.]

Ghost Hill Knuckles: I don't need the details, just tell me who to smash.

Sonic: Ah! Boy, have I missed you guys! Even you, Knuckles.

['Rouge' appears behind the smiling Sonic perched on top of a palm tree.]

Ghost Hill Rouge: You may not like the way I do things but I get things done.

Sonic: Nah, no complaints from me, Rouge!

Ghost Hill Tails: As long as I'm around, you'll always have a wingman.

[Sonic's happiness turns to suspicions.]

Sonic: Huh? Yeah, you just said that. [Waves in an attempt to get 'his' attention.] Buddy. I'm right here.

Ghost Hill Amy: The forest is the most beautiful place on Earth.

Ghost Hill Knuckles: I don't need the details, just tell me who to smash.

Ghost Hill Rouge: You may not like the way I do things but I get things done.

Ghost Hill Tails: As long as I'm around, you'll always...

[Sonic holds his throat, becoming miserable.]

Sonic: What's wrong with them?

Shadow: It's a Shatter Space, Sonic, just like the others. A cruel version to make us suffer.

Ghost Hill Amy: The forest is the most beautiful place on Earth.

Ghost Hill Knuckles: I don't need the details, just tell me who to smash.

Ghost Hill Rouge: You may not like the way I do things but I get things done.

Ghost Hill Tails: As long as I'm around, you'll always have a wingman.

[An upset Sonic sits down on a rock. He looks at his gloves. There's nothing on them other than Regulators on the back of them.]

Ghost Hill Amy: The forest is the most beautiful place on Earth.

Ghost Hill Knuckles: I don't need the details, just tell me who to smash.

Sonic: It was cool the first couple of times.

[He sighs and looks down. Shadow approaches him.]

Ghost Hill Amy: The forest is the most beautiful place on Earth.

[Sonic gets up, looking at his gloves again.]

Sonic: How do I fix this?

Shadow: [Sighs in annoyance.] Come with me.

Ghost Hill Tails: As long as I'm around, you'll always have a wingman.

[Shadow runs, exiting the beach. Sonic follows him. They both pass by 'Big' and up towards Temple Mountain, which has a long crack.]

Ghost Hill Big: No problem, Sonic. [Froggy croaks] No problem, Sonic. [Froggy croaks]

[Sonic and Shadow make it to the ledge with the cave's entrance. Sonic looks at it in forlorn.]

Shadow: [Firmly] Sonic.

[Sonic slowly walks closer to the cave's entrance. The grid on Sonic's shoes and gloves start whirring while he walks into the entry. He looks ahead, sighs, and drops his arm.]

Sonic: I guess that's a Ghost, too.

[He sees the yellow Shard revealed inside the ghostly Paradox Prism. Shadow steps in next to a miserable Sonic, also looking at the Prism. The camera cuts to the Prism, which shows the outlines of the three missing shards. A flashback plays of Sonic shattering the Prism.]

Tails: We don't know what the Prism's capable of.

Amy: If Eggman wants it, it can't be good.

Sonic: Step away from the rock, Egghead.

Tails: Sonic, wait!

Amy, Knuckles, Rouge and Tails: Sonic, no!

[The flashback ends. Sonic breathes heavily.]

Sonic: [Upset] I would do anything to be back...

Shadow: Home. There is a chance. [Sonic follows Shadow towards the yellow Prism Shard.] Every Shatterspace contains a Shard, creates a distorted version of our reality. That means-- [--pointing at it] this one...

Sonic: Has to be real!

[Sonic looks down to see his shoes pulsate and glow.]

Shadow: Exactly.

[Sonic slowly puts his finger onto the shard...]

Shadow: Don't!

[...but retracts it.]

Sonic: [Annoyed] I wasn't going to touch it. I was just pointing at it to tell you not to touch it.

Shadow: Here's the plan. The Ghost Prism shows us how the other shards need to be placed together. If we bring them back here and connect them to this one, this real one, then maybe...

Sonic: Yeah. Yeah, that could work. It has to work!

[Shadow frowns again.]

Sonic: We gotta show Nine. He's, like, super smart! He knows a ton about Prism energy. He--

Shadow: No!

Sonic: [Becoming annoyed] No?

Shadow: No.

Sonic: Why no? I just said he's, like, super smart.

Shadow: He can't be trusted.

Sonic: What are you talking about? Of course he can! He's just like Tails. He's just a little angsty, that's all.

Shadow: No. He's not Tails, he's Nine. And they're not your real friends.

Sonic: Dude, he's real! This is his reality. And you know what else is real? Nine's tech on my kicks and punching sticks. So back up off Nine.

[Sonic points his finger at Shadow's face. The latter groans.]

Sonic: [Sighs] Okay, look. What matters right now is that I get the shards. I'll bring them back here and then we--

Shadow: That's not the plan!

Sonic: Wait, dude, not the plan? I'm totally confused. I thought a moment ago you said--

Shadow: [Closes in on him, annoyed] Sonic, you literally broke our world. Why would I trust you to do anything?!

Sonic: Okay, I can see how you might think that. But--

[Shadow growls, losing his patience and Spin Attacks Sonic into the rock. Sonic groans and gets up.]

Shadow: Your turn is over. I'm taking the tech and I'm going after the shards myself.

Sonic: [Angrily, while holding his arm] No way, Shadow! I know what you're capable of, and that's not gonna happen! Nine and all the rest of them are real! So the only way you're taking my tech is over my dead--

[--Shadow Spin Attacks Sonic and knocks him down again.]

Sonic: You could've at least let me finish what I was going to say!

[Shadow tries to spin attack him but Sonic dodges, running out of the cave. Shadow catches up to him and in slow motion, knocks him off the cliff. The two hedgehogs punch each other as they fall. They spin to secure the landing. As Sonic goes to punch him, Shadow steals one of the Regulators out of Sonic's glove.]

Shadow: That's one. [Sonic looks at his now bare glove in horror] Three to go. [putting the Regulator on his own glove] Want it back? Come and get it!

[Shadow pounds the ground. They spin attack into and bounce off each other. Sonic goes on the attack while Shadow dodges every move. They spin around each other. Shadow runs, causing Sonic to pursue him. The latter tries to kick him, but he dodges. They run onto the beach around the Ghost Hill counterparts.]

Ghost Hill Tails: As long as I'm around, you'll always have a wingman.

[Sonic spin jumps and punches Shadow from above, but he dodges, rebounding by kicking Sonic up into the air, and spinning and tossing him into the rock, causing him to bounce off in mid-air. Shadow levels Sonic in midair and in slow motion, steals the two Regulators attached to the back of his shoes, converting Sonic's shoes back into his regular ones. Shadow lands, having attached the two Regulators on both shoes.]

Shadow: Two and three.

[An angry Sonic spins at Shadow, who spins away to dodge. They spin and bounce off each other. Shadow spins towards the pier, being chased by Sonic. Out of the pier, they spin at each other several times. Sonic punches Shadow and chases him across the beach. Shadow rebounds off a wall and tackles Sonic into the sea with him, and grabs the fourth and final Regulator. Sonic clings onto Shadow's shoes trying to steal the regulators back, but Shadow wrestles away from him with a back kick. They return to the beach. Sonic is panting heavily and spluttering.]

Shadow: That's it! I got them all. Now I can enter the Gateways, just like you.

[It is revealed that Sonic successfully stole two of the Regulators. He places them on the back of his shoes, generating a grid.]

Sonic: You sure about that?

[Shadow grimaces and chases Sonic again along the beach, around 'Big'.]

Ghost Hill Big: No problem, Sonic. [Froggy croaks]

[Along a narrow road, Shadow jumps on top of Sonic, but Sonic spins to break the hold. They both run up the Helter-Skelter and through the Loop-de-loop, trying to spin each other off. They both jump at the end. They tumble through the air lengthways, with the feet at their faces. Shadow kicks Sonic and takes his Regulator, while the latter falls to the ground. Shadow tosses the Regulator up and catches it onto the back of his shoe, while Sonic struggles to get up.]

Sonic: [Sighs in exhaustion] One left. Come at me, bro!

Shadow: Nah. I'm good.

[It is revealed that Shadow has taken all four Regulators.]

Sonic: Huh? [Reaching out in despair] No!

Shadow: So long, Sonic! See ya back home.

Sonic: No, no, no, no! [Sonic peels out and chases Shadow. As he peels up, energy bolts gather around him. He loses control of his pace, sliding and wandering at various times.] What? Ah!

[Shadow looks back, grinning, before focusing ahead again. A multi-colored aura glows around Shadow as he runs to the top of the mountain and takes off, disappearing in an energy ball of bright light in the sky. Sonic has a glowing aura around him as he tries to warp, which flickers. As he takes off at the top of the mountain...]

Sonic: Rrrah!

[...He loses momentum. He looks at his shoes.]

Shadow: [Off-screen] When you get going fast, you kick up Prism energy and it thins the veil to the Void. It's like it's opening a portal through the Gateway.

[Sonic spins back down to the mountain and peels out to gain momentum, with a multicolored aura behind him. He jumps off the wall to retain his speed. Just before he hits the ground, he disappears in a white ball of light.]

[Scene Change: Void]

[Sonic warps out of the yellow portal at high speed and tackles Shadow, pushing him against the rock, which is piled onto by other rocks. The rocks then fall away from the two hedgehogs. The camera zooms in on both of them.]

Sonic: Give me back my te-- Aah!

[Shadow punches Sonic and breaks free of his grasp. They both crash land onto a long flat rock. They continue to battle each other with punches and spin attacks. Shadow then glides away in retreat, but is stopped by a rock. Rocks crash around Sonic and Shadow. the latter looks up to see more rocks coming down, then spin dashes away, while Sonic chases him likewise. They jump off at the end of the rock. Shadow lands onto one end of a long rock and spins it at the right time causing Sonic to land on the opposite end, then jumps off, followed by Sonic.]

Shadow: Come at me, bro.

[Sonic tackles Shadow. They return to the red gateway, which explodes and causes another shockwave.]

Sonic: Huh?

[An annoyed Shadow knocks Sonic away. The Chaos Council's Mothership arrives into the void. Mr. Dr. Eggman, inside the cockpit, smiles proudly. Shadow flies ahead.]

Sonic: The Chaos Council?

[He notices the Mothership heading towards the Green Portal.]

Sonic: Oh, no. They're headed to the Boscage!

[He spin dashes, catching up to Shadow as they go after the Mothership. It makes it through the green gateway and disappears. Shadow tries to warp into this gateway, but struggles and groans, pushing against it to try and break through while Sonic catches up. Unfortunately for him, the gateway blasts Shadow back, causing him to become incapacitated, with silhouettes of various colors of light shown in a pattern.]

Sonic: Shadow!

[Noticing Shadow's in trouble, Sonic spins towards him. Shadow crashes into a rock unconscious, with other rocks falling and crashing around him. Sonic maneuvers from rock to rock, but the rock that Shadow is on blows apart.]

Sonic: [Despairing] No! No, no, no, no! [After landing safely on a rock] Shadow! Shadow!

[With other rocks spinning and flying everywhere Sonic looks around frantically. The camera cuts to and zooms in on Shadow, falling unconsciously towards darkness. Sonic spins after him, then lunges and puts his arms forward. He grabs hold of Shadow, and lands onto a rock. He carries Shadow up, away from the Darkness, but soon they crash into a rock, crash landing onto another flat rock. They both get up; Shadow feeling his head in pain.]

Sonic: Wooo! I am exhausted!

[Shadow groans while he's in pain. Sonic perches onto a small rock, crossing his legs.]

Sonic: You're not dead. You're welcome. On the bright side, I'll get to hold this over you forever. Oh, and, er, I'll take my tech back.

[Shadow looks at his gloves with an angry grumble. He realizes his regulators are missing. A electronic zap is made as Sonic wears the Regulators on his gloves.]

Sonic: Ha-ha, got ya!

[He shows off the other two Regulators on his heel, giving Shadow a thumb up, before sitting down on a small rock.]

Shadow: Rrr, I don't understand! I thought the tech would get me through the Gateways. Why didn't it work? I saw Nine give you the tech. In the lab, you kicked up the prismatic energy when you ran fast and crossed over into the Void. I just assumed it was the tech. But it's something else... it's you.

Sonic: I guess that makes me kind of special, right?

Shadow: [Grumbles and shakes his head] The only way to fix the reality you shattered is if we... work... together.

Sonic: Together? [Shadow groans] Wow. Coming from you that's, well, not like you at all. Man, you must really hate having to admit you need me.

Shadow: You need me!

Sonic: Sure, I'm big enough to admit that. But, not as much as-- [Jumps backwards off the rock.] you need me.

[He falls down and accesses the green Gateway, while Shadow watches. Sonic lands on the entry to the Green Gateway, and gives him a thumb up as he enters the gateway.]

[Scene Change: Boscage Maze]

[Sonic warps through the Portal and spins down onto the wooden deck. He runs and looks up at the roaming Mothership.]

Sonic: Oh, no. I won't let you down, Shadow. Together, we're gonna fix this.

[A watermark of Shadow's face appears in the sky behind Sonic. He runs into the camera and the screen cuts to black with the episode's name appearing in the center. The credits roll.]
