Attack Time UP is an installable performance-enhancing component for Extreme Gear. Its actual appearance is unknown, though it is presented as an icon on the head-up display in the top-left corner of the game screen. Its icon is a blue-colored circle with a black fist and a clock inscribed in it.
Overview[]
In the game, Attack Time UP is permanently installed into only certain Extreme Gears. When in use, Attack Time UP extends the duration of Attack by two additional seconds whenever the player obtains it from an Item Box on the racing courses, making Attack last a total of twelve seconds. While using Attack, the player can use the playable characters' different attacks to hit opponents to ensure a better racing position or access special shortcuts.
In gameplay, Attack Time UP and its ability will be disabled when starting a new race. To activate Attack Time UP, the player must press one of the following buttons after collecting a certain number of Rings:
PS2
Wii
Wii Remote (sideways)
Wii Remote (vertical)
GameCube controller
When activating Attack Time UP, the player's Rings will be reduced accordingly by the number needed to enable it and the Extreme Gear is surrounded by an orange void, indicating the Gear Part's ability is in effect. The following Extreme Gears come equipped with the Attack Time UP:
Activating this Gear Part while riding on the Mag instantly depletes the GP Gauge, making the player unable to obtain Gravity Points by any means and overrides the effect of Base Stats UP if this Gear Part is activated after Base Stats UP.
