The Asteroid Wispon is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing. It is a Wispon that is both themed after and utilizes the power of the Indigo Wisp.

Description

Appearance

Modeled after the Indigo Wisp, the Asteroid Wispon is an orb-shaped Wispon. This orb is colored indigo on one half and black on the other. The Asteroid Wispon also has a lens up front and is surrounded by a mechanical yellow planetary ring.

Features and abilities

The Asteroid Wispon's signature function is its ability to hold Indigo Wisps inside it and harness their energies to power itself. Without an Indigo Wisp inside it, the Asteroid Wispon is useless.

Being built to clear out crowds of robots, the Asteroid Wispons must possess a widespread attack range.[1]
