Arm Swing,[1] also called Arm Swinging, is a move that appears in Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. It is used exclusively by Knuckles the Echidna. When using this move, Knuckles climbs across the bottom of horizontal surfaces.
Description[]
When performing Arm Swing, Knuckles jumps onto a suitable ceiling and digs the spikes on his fists into them, thus making a stable bond with the surface. Hanging from the ceiling at this point, Knuckles makes his way across the bottom of ceilings using the spikes on his fists without falling down.
In gameplay, the player can only perform Arm Swing on Climbable Ceilings. To use Arm Swing, the player simply has to touch the Climbable Ceilings, either by jumping or with a gimmick like the Bounce Pad, and Knuckles will stick onto it. To move around on the ceilings, the player has to use the left control stick. While using Arm Swing, Knuckles is still able to attack using his legs to destroy obstacles blocking the path.
