Archimedes[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs publish by Archie Comics. He is a mobian Fire Ant and the Light Mobius counterpart of Mobius Prime's Archimedes.

Appearance

Archimedes is essentially a doppelganger of his Mobius Prime counterpart and is so identical to him in both anatomy and attire.

History

At some point, Archimedes became the mentor to Knuckles the Echidna. Eventually though, he decided to return to his ancestral homeland of Downunda, and was accompanied by Knuckles. The two shared a discussion about things, such as Archimedes' desire to return to the land of his forebears-something that Knuckles could not understand despite the desire of many echidnas to return to Albion-and Knuckles' decision that the Guardian line would end with him.[1] Despite his retirement, there was some question as to whether or not he would take part in Lara-Su's training as a Guardian after Knuckles reversed his former decision.[2]

Powers and abilities

Like his Mobius Prime counterpart, Archimedes is highly intelligent and is able to teleport. A master of sleight-of-hand and various magic tricks, he often emphasizes his appearances and disappearances with puffs of smoke.[1]
