Sonic, Scourge, and Metal Sonic were fighting each other, when Metal Scourge showed up to help Metal Sonic.^[1] Then, the group of four faced each other,^[2] and the fight began again. The two Metals succeeded in knocking down their living counterparts, when Sonic offered Scourge the temporary truce once again.^[3] Scourge then brought back up his offer of conquering the world and the multi-verse, which Sonic responds by saying he is preoccupied at the time being. Scourge decided to take that reply as a "yes".^[4]

Over at New Megaopolis, in the Eggdome, Dr. Eggman was watching the whole fight on a monitor. Dimitri, the leader of the Dark Egg Legion, came up to the doctor, complimenting him on how he could build 2 robots in hours, yet criticizing him on how he couldn't build any help for the Dark Egg Legion. Eggman ignored the echidna, because he was too into the fight.^[5]
