He tries to use a Triple Sonic Spin on the robot, but finds himself unable to break through its sturdy frame. Sonic chases the locomotive menace when a hologram of Dr. Eggman is projected from one of its segments. Eggman taunts Sonic, telling him that Caterkiller will destroy Knothole next. Just as Sonic begins to worry about his friends in the village, Tails arrives on the Tornado and gives Sonic a lift.

It's the chaotic return of Jack Rabbit and his Sand Crew (last seen in Sonic #62), and this time they face heroic Bunnie Rabbot in this solo adventure.

Part 1

In the dark of night, Sonic runs to Furville and warns its citizens to evacuate he town.
