Synopsis[]
On Station Square Today, Scarlet Garcia is hosting the show with special guests Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Chuck, and Chris. Unknown to them, Bocoe and Decoe are the cameramen. Sonic hogs the attention to brag about himself on TV, to the annoyance of Tails and Knuckles. However, what the heroes do not know is that Doctor Eggman is watching the show with an evil plan to destroy them.
The heroes are asked to show off their skills for their viewers in a relay style race. Knuckles shows off by gliding, punching, and wall climbing, Tails by flying through loops, and Amy by whacking lots of Doctor Eggman statues in a whack-a-mole-style game. Sonic finishes by showing off his speed and Dr. Eggman activates his new robot, the "X Robot", which has copied their abilities by watching their performance. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy attack the robot, but it is too powerful for any of them to defeat alone, though Sonic stubbornly refuses to admit he needs help.
The X Robot switches to Amy mode while fighting Sonic, and the robot becomes infatuated with him, giving Sonic an opening to attack it. Chuck realizes that the robot has copied their personality traits along with their powers and tells them that they need to do something the X robot would not expect. Tails gets an idea and says that they need to work together, but Sonic still won't admit that he needs help, until the X Robot hits him and his friends and knocks some sense into him. Sonic runs up a ramp and leaps into the air, while Knuckles, Tails, and Amy attack the X Robot, until Sonic comes crashing to the ground and spin attacks the X Robot, destroying it.
Sonic apologizes for being an attention hog and his friends forgive him, while Dr. Eggman is irritated that his plan has failed.

Trivia[]
- This is the only issue of Sonic X where Patrick Spaziante did not make the cover.
- Curiously, the issue's solicit refers to Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Amy as "Knothole Village's media darlings" despite the fact that Knothole Village is not known to exist in the Sonic X universe.
