Archie Sonic Universe Issue 51 is the fifty-first issue of the spin-off Sonic Universe comic book series published by Archie Comics. It is the second part of the Sonic & Mega Man: Worlds Collide crossover event.

When Worlds Collide - Part Two: Mistaken Identities

The story begins with Mega Man (in his normal form, Rock), bringing Dr. Light a box of spare parts. Then Roll comes in and tells Dr. Light and Mega Man that Proto Man is trying to stop a bank robbery, but he's out-numbered.

Mega Man goes to help Proto Man, and tells Proto Man that he'll take care of this. Mega Man drops down right in front of the Roboticized Masters, and does the whole "Surrender now, and no harm will come to you" quote. Then it flashes back to Sonic's world, where he's running on a loop-de-loop in the Green Hill Zone (like in STH #226). He then begins to think about what might have happened to his friends. He went to Tails's house, but it was empty. He flew to Angel Island, but Knuckles was nowhere. He even went in Amy's room, figuring she'd be there.

Then it changes to show the Chaotix, looking for the same people. Charmy wants ice cream, but Vector and Espio say no, so Charmy goes off anyways. Charmy disappears, and then Espio notices someone in a nearby alley. Then Espio disappears, and Vector porrly armed goes into the alley, and asks if anyone's there, when Copy Robot jumps down and stuns Vector.  It goes back to Mega Man's world, and him fighting the Roboticized Masters. Mega Man shoots off a charged shot from his arm cannon, and to his surprise it stuns the Roboticized Masters. The Roboticized Masters open a warp ring, and Mega Man is forced to go through it. Then it goes to Sonic who is greeted by Silver. Soon after that, Silver is stunned by Copybot, who runs off. Metal Sonic attacks Mega Man, who has only seen him as a "blue blur". Then Sonic, thinking Mega Man is the Copybot, spin dashes him into the ground. The two begin to fight, and Tails Man is watching and broadcasting live feed to Drs. Eggman and Wily.

Off Panel

Introducing "Eggman and Wily Failed Concepts." A glimpse is taken into Dr. Wily's master plan to combine the biomechanics of Sonic with his latest robot creation. The end result is a super-speedy Bass with blue quills and red shoes. Eggman says that he doesn't look any faster, measuring him with a tape.

Bass then threatens that he will put an end to everybody.

Trivia

  • The cover is an homage to the character select screen from the video game "Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes", where Mega Man appeared as a playable character.
  • There is a variant cover called "Rivals Variant" that features Proto Man and Knuckles the Echidna with an Angel Island background cover.
