Aquatic Ruin Zone is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series produced by Paramount Pictures and its spin-offs. It is an alien area of sunken ruins in the Earth's universe that was once visited by Tails.

Description

Aquatic Ruin Zone is an area out at sea with various stone ruins made of yellow bricks within it. The ruins are partially submerged in the sea, and are curved and broken down, with arching doorways in the walls. In addition, various forms of vegetation grow on top of the ruins, such as green grass, green bushes with red-pink flowers on them, and trees with brown trucks and green crowns. Also, among the ruins are leftovers of chaos energy.[1]

Sonic the Hedgehog 2: The Official Movie Pre-Quill

During his search for Sonic and in an attempt to shake off the unknown pursuers following him, Tails used a Ring to go to Aquatic Ruin Zone, where he went underwater in an attempt to make his pursuers lose track of him. However, Tails quickly discovered that the chaos energy he had been tracking was not Sonic's, but leftovers from when the Aquatic Ruin Zone was turned into ruins. Reasoning that he had to go somewhere inhabited in order to find Sonic, Tails used a Ring to go to Hill Top Zone.[1]
