Antlion Mother as its name implies, is based on Antlions in their larva form. The Badnik consists of two parts, the large base body and small head attached to it. The main body has purple and pink armor with yellow plates and laser cannons attached above and below. The head part has small Badnik's eyes, yellow mouthparts and claws on its sides. The Antlion Mother's head is attached to main body with Bumpers.
Overview
In the Wii U version of the game, a single Antlion Mother is found in Desert RuinsZone 4. In the bowels of the ground, Antlion Mother rotates its main body slowly around, while blocking upper and lower parts of the route with active laser cannons, that can damage the player while using the Yellow Drill.
The player has to move Sonic in his Yellow Drill form and target on the Antlion Mother's head to defeat the Badnik, while disabling its laser cannons and allowing the player to progress in the Zone.
