The Angel • Devil (天使のささやき • 悪魔のささやき,Tenshinosasayaki • Akumanosasayaki?, lit. "Angel Whisperer • Devil Whisperer") is an Extreme Gear that appeared as an Air Ride type in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, and later as a Bike type in Sonic Free Riders. It can switch to one of two different modes that grants the rider certain advantages and drawbacks.
The Angel • Devil first appeared in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity as an Air Ride type Extreme Gear. According to its profile, it packs the battle of an angel and a demon, with the outcome being unspecified. It can be obtained in the game by completing the Babylon Story in Story Mode.
In Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the Angel • Devil is designed as a type of slender hovercraft, with one jet engine extending from each side and one on the middle rear, with blue exhaust ports. Furthermore, the right side of the Angel • Devil is colored white and the left side is colored black, with the border between the colors going right down the middle, as an allusion to the gear's two modes that represent good and evil.
Abilities and traits[]
As an Air Ride type Extreme Gear, the Angel • Devil is capable of Air Riding. By talking off Catapults, the Angel • Devil can begin gliding through midair and Dash Rings, gaining Gravity Points while doing so, until the rider loses too much momentum and falls.
The Angel • Devil made a reappearance in Sonic Free Riders. In this game, it had been changed into a Bike type Extreme Gear. It can be purchased from the shop for 1,500 Rings.
Following its change into a Bike type Extreme Gear, the Angel • Devil received a noticeable redesign. In this game, it resembles that of a yellow, black and white dual-sport motorcycle.
Abilities and traits[]
As a Bike type Extreme Gear in Sonic Free Riders, the Angel • Devil is more powerful, but less maneuverable than most Extreme Gears and allows its rider to punch through obstacles and barricades.
In Sonic Free Riders, the Angel • Devil has the same abilities that its Gear Part in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity had, meaning its abilities can be used at all times. In this game, however, it can switch from one mode to another whenever the player perform a Kick Dash but it does not go through a physical change when it switches modes. It cannot be equipped with any Gear Parts.

Trivia[]
The Angel • Devil is the only Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity whose Gear Part icon is multicolored.
When performing Air Tricks on the Angel • Devil in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, it emits blue lightning in Devil mode whenever it lands on the ground, while in Angel mode it does not.
In the cover A for IDW Sonic the Hedgehog #69, Whisper is seen riding an Extreme Gear similar to the Angel • Devil as an Air Ride type. Due to Whisper's name and her alias the "Guardian Angel" and the Angel • Devil's color scheme and its lit. "Angel Whisperer • Devil Whisperer", it is possible that this Extreme Gear is indeed Whisper's.
