History

Seasons of Chaos

While with Sonic and Tails in Spring Valley Zone, Amy and her friends found a Chaos Emerald, which was quickly snatched by Metal Sonic. As Metal Sonic made his escape, Amy helped Sonic attempt to catch up to Metal Sonic. After that failed, Knuckles showed up and explained that Metal Knuckles had taken another one of the Chaos Emeralds. With the group deducing that Dr. Eggman was hunting down the Chaos Emeralds, Amy got excited at the prospect of going on another adventure with Sonic when the group decided stop Eggman's plot. However, Amy got left behind by Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, much to her frustration. In addition, she discovered that Tails had dropped his Emerald Radar. As Amy tried figuring out her next move, she found Mighty and Ray. As introductions were made, Amy figured out that the pair were Sonic's friends, and asked them for help finding the Chaos Emeralds. With Mighty and Ray agreeing to help, the trio headed towards Summer Falls Zone.[1]

Upon arriving there, Amy and her companions found a Chaos Emerald when it landed on Mighty's head. Afterward, Amy led Mighty and Ray towards the next Emerald in Autumn Forest Zone. Upon finding the Chaos Emerald there however, Amy and co. got attacked by Fang, Bean and Bark, who sought the Chaos Emerald on behalf of Eggman. As Amy and her party engaged the mercenaries, Metal Knuckles showed up and took the Chaos Emerald. Giving chase, Amy and the pack found Eggman with Sonic and co. There, Eggman explained that Heavy King had taken over his forces and was the one retrieving the Chaos Emeralds. Knowing Heavy King could not be allowed to have the Emeralds, Amy and the others heroes joined forces with the villains and went to Heavy King's base in Winter Caverns Zone. Amy wore Bark's scarf when entering the area. There, the crew were attacked by Metal Sonic and Metal Knuckles until Eggman overrode the signal Heavy King used to control the Metals. With the Metals on their side, Amy and her allies confronted Heavy King, who was now possessing all seven Chaos Emeralds. Using their power, Heavy King overwhelmed Amy and her allies until Sonic managed to distract Heavy King, allowing Amy and the others to take the Chaos Emeralds back in secret. Escaping from the base afterward, Amy and her allies parted the ways, taking the Chaos Emeralds with them. Before Bark left, she returned his scarf to him and complimented him on his sweetness. When Amy, Sonic and Tails were left to hide the last three Chaos Emeralds, Amy got sad about Sonic having to part ways with her and became flustered when he thanked her for her help. Regardless, she departed from Sonic on good terms as he left.[1]

Amy's New Hobby

While at home, Amy was preparing some lunch for herself and Tails, whom she had invited over. When Tails eventually arrived, the two of them sat down and began having a nice chat. While they talked about Sonic's escapades however, Amy began working on ideas for her newest hobby: comic books about her and her friends' adventures. When Tails took notice however, Amy tried to deny it, as she was too doubtful about her comics being good to show them to anyone. Regardless, she hesitantly showed Tails some of her work after he teased her by suggesting that she was collaborating with Eggman. While Tails showed amazement at her comics, Amy did not think her work was impressive. In response, Tails went out and showed Amy's comics to Mighty and Ray, who thought they were funny in a good way. While Amy was apprehensive about this at first, some gentle nudges from Tails let her to embrace the positive reception as everyone showed up to read her work and praise it. When Sonic then showed up and Tails brought him Amy's comics for him to see however, Amy froze up in fear. Fortunately for Amy, Sonic thought her comics and drawings of him were awesome, much to her relief. Afterward, as Sonic brought up "fighting" Eggman on his birthday, Amy began taking notes for her next comic as Sonic recounted that adventure.[2]

Personality

Amy is a youthful, excitable, sweet, and energetic hedgehog girl with a few girlish mannerisms. While Amy may be a little naive and a somewhat childish, as she is prone to throw trantrums and pout openly, she is still polite and a loyal and trustworthy friend and teammate. She is similarly very adventurous and loves excitement. However, her tendency to be left behind by her friends when they head out on an adventure is an eternal source of frustration to her, as she only wants to prove herself. Nonetheless, she is well-aware that she is not as strong as her friends, and would thus put herself in danger if she heads out unchaperoned.[1]

While Amy is willing to recognize villains for the scum they are, she also willing to see the good in others, including her foes. Most notably, she thinks Bark is not bad; he is just hanging out with the wrong people.[1]

Powers and abilities

Amy possesses some degree of strength, being capable of sending Sonic flying upward with a single whack of her hammer, a weapon of which she has a basic, yet effective mastery of.[1]

Weapon

Amy is wielding the Piko Piko Hammer, a yellow and red toy mallet. While it packs some descent force behind its blows, it is not necessarily a very effective weapon, as its blows just bounced off Bark. However, she can use it to support her allies, for example by giving Sonic an upward boost with a standard whack.[1]
