For the skill in Sonic Battle, see Amy Dash (Sonic Battle).

The Amy Dash (エミーダッシュ Emīdasshu?) is a technique used by Amy Rose. It first appeared in Sonic Advance 2 and later reappeared in Sonic Advance 3. When performing this move, Amy does a quick forward dash.

Description[]

When performing this move, Amy builds up speed by running in one spot and then shoots off forward with a high-speed dash. It serves as Amy's variant of the standard Spin Dash.

Game appearances[]

Sonic Advance 2[]

Adv2 amy dash

The Amy Dash made its first appearance in Sonic Advance 2 as Amy's replacement move for the Spin Dash. When performing the Amy Dash in this game, Amy first revs up by running rapidly in one spot, before then curling into a ball and rolling along the ground when she dashes forward. To perform this move in gameplay, the player first has to press and hold down on the Directional buttons while pressing A, and then release the Directional buttons to move. Rapidly pressing A before dashing will build up momentum.

Sonic Advance 3[]

The Amy Dash made another appearance in Sonic Advance 3 where it is one of the moves Amy can perform only when she has Knuckles the Echidna as her partner. In this game, like in Sonic Advance 2, when performing the Amy Dash, Amy starts out by running rapidly in one spot. However, when dashing forward, Amy instead keeps running forward on her legs rather than curling into a ball. The way to perform it in gameplay is the same as in Sonic Advance 2.

Trivia[]

  • When paired with Sonic in Sonic Advance 3, thereby allowing Amy to use the Spin Dash, Amy's method of revving up the Spin Dash is the same as when the player revs up the Amy Dash.
