In gameplay, the Air Dash is primarily used to destroy dash blocks, being the only move that can destroy them. It can also be used to damage enemies and gain elevation to reach new areas. Additionally, the Air Dash can only be used twice when dashing to the sides and once when dashing up, making for a total of three dashes. However, the move can only go directly up, down, left and right in gameplay. When performing an Air Dash in the ground, the character will automatically perform a Ground Pound.
