The Air Containment Field is a object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics.
Description[]
The Air Containment Field is a large forcefield that surrounds the entirety of Demon Island, allowing air to be accessed by the inhabitants. It is powered by Chaos energy.
History[]
Due to the Air Containment Field running low on energy, Anti-Sonic and Anti-Knuckles showed up on Mobius Prime, with Anti-Knuckles intending to take Knuckles' emeralds to help fuel the Air Containment Field. However, they eventually teamed up with each other and dealt with Robotnik who was causing dimensional rifts while experimenting in Moebius. Afterwards, Anti-Knuckles got access to some Anarchy Beryl, which he used to restore the functionality of the Air Containment Field at the last second.[1]
Trivia[]
- A similar forcefield is present around Meropis, another underwater location in the Post-Super Genesis Wave timeline, although the forcefield itself is not given a name.
