Plot[]

Sonic returns to New Yoke City from No Place after he climbed onto the Chaos Council's flying ship trying to stop Dread. After he falls off the ship to save Dread, he falls into a dumpster. The Council seem annoyed at the fact that Sonic kept getting in their way. Dr. Deep then secured the NestEgg, and sent drones out to keep the rebels busy. The rebels decided to that they’re all heading to the Yoke to bring the fight to them. As Sonic was trying to look for him, he meets up with the Resistance, Rebel Rouge and Renegade Knucks again, who scold him when he tells them that the Chaos Council had come back stronger, having now possessed three of the Prism Shards. They also doubted Nine, due to him also disappearing several times, only for Sonic to reveal that he was captured. Sonic suggested that he should go to the Yoke alone to save Nine and the Shards, but, he eventually decided to stick with the rebels, who, under Rebel and Knucks' combined idea, agreed to that they’re all heading to the Yoke to bring the fight to them.

Meanwhile, with the three Shards, the Council showed Nine the Shards, who was seemingly impressed, and they used the Shards' Energy to create more powerful and bigger Eggforcers from the remains of all the destroyed ones, which Dr. Done-It would go on to dub as "Jumbo Eggforcers".

In the Scareport, the rebels took on some drones, until they saw the Jumbo Eggforcers and fought them off. Sonic saved Denizen 1998 from the drones and disarmed one of the Jumbo Eggforcer's laser cannons for Denizen 1998 to use and saved two denizens from being hit by a train. Once both of the robots were shot down, they kept moving. Dr. Done-it saw what happened got upset that his “babies” were destroyed. Dr. Deep then suggested to add laser eyes, Dr. Babble suggested buzzsaws, and Dr. Don't suggested flamethrowers. As they all argued, Mr. Dr. Eggman told them to stop arguing and told them to do whatever they want, taking Nine with him to talk to him. The rest of the Council decided to add all of their ideas.

Looking out at the streets, they saw a lot of Eggforcers. Sonic stated that he had to save Nine, this world, the Boscage Maze, No Place and Green Hill. Rebel and Knucks stated that they'll be with him, and then went down there and fought them off. As they did, they say two upgraded Jumbo Eggforcers. Renegade Knucks tried damaging them, but they were too durable. One of the Jumbo Eggforcers then tried to burn Sonic with its flamethrower. Meanwhile, as the Council watched the Jumbo Eggforcers fighting Sonic, Mr. Dr. Eggman talked with Nine on how the rest of the Council can’t defeated Sonic due to the lack of imagination and vision. Eggman then tricked Nine into giving him an idea and as Nine tried to warn Sonic, he was then caught by Don’t.

Afterwards, Sonic was able to defeat the Jumbo Eggforcers by using their lasers against each other. As the Council was angered, Eggman and Don’t told them that Nine was in communication with Sonic the entire time. Eggman then told the Council that Nine can lure Sonic right to them by creating a stronger robot.

As Sonic headed to the Yoke, Rebel told Sonic that she and Knucks are going with him. While Sonic was contacted by Nine to go to the southwest doors, Rebel wondered why he would tell him to do that, but they went there anyway. Making their way to the doors at the Yoke, Sonic saw someone coming out and wondered if that was Nine. But Knucks replied that it wasn't Nine, and that it was really someone that looked just like Sonic.

Goofs[]

  • Sonic breaks off one of the giant Eggforcer's blasters, which Denizen 1998 used to blast them both. But when he blasts the first one, it has both blasters attached.
