Portal 4-F or just 4-F, is a Cyber Space stage in Sonic Frontiers. It is the sixth Cyber Space stage in Ouranos Island during Another Story, and the thirty-sixth overall. It is a remix of 2-4.

Description

4-F shares the basic Cyber Space stage theme of being based on the specific depiction of Chemical Plant from the console/PC version of Sonic Generations. Having similar aesthetic elements seen in previous stages, the stage features rapid, blue digitized sparks being spotted on the screen during the gameplay to represent the digitized atmosphere.

Portal location

The entrance Portal to the Cyber Space stage is located in the western side of Ouranos Island, with several yellow platforms directly behind it. It requires two Portal Gears for this Portal to connect to Cyber Space.

Gameplay

4-F is a straightforward and short stage almost entirely going downhill, with large loops and many paths made from floating platforms. During this level, Sonic will be racing against a Hologram Tails and beating it will reward him with a Lookout Koco. There are no Star Posts present in this stage.

Number Rings

After a double loop about a quarter of the way through the level, the player will see a group of small platforms with pulleys on the front off to the right side, which have the Number Rings on it. Ring number 4 is to the right of ring number 5, ring number 3 is behind and to the right of ring number 4, number 2 is in front of ring number 3 and ring number 1 is to the left of ring number 2.

Silver Moon Rings

After the last Number Ring, the player will be able to go to some platforms floating over the main path, and from there take the middle rail to another group of floating platforms with six pillars in front. The first three rings will be on these pillars, the fourth one over a balloon floating nearby, and the last one on another balloon ahead that should be reached with an Air Boost and a Homing Attack.

Animals

- At the start of the level, the player will see an area with a roof, with ramps coming from below on both sides of the road that leads into it. Boosting off one of these ramps to get on top of the roof leads to a small platform with the first animal, and the drop off zone is located just down the path.

- Dropping down after getting the last Silver Moon Ring, the player will see a section with small cubes covered with Egg Springs. The second animal is around the middle of this area, while the drop off zone is on the raised platform.

- Right after rescuing the second animal, taking the left or right rail will lead to another section with cubes covered with Egg Springs, with the third animal around the start. The drop off zone is reached by climbing the platform staircase ahead, turning around and jumping towards it.
