Portal 4-C or just 4-C, is a Cyber Space stage in Sonic Frontiers. It is the third Cyber Space stage in Ouranos Island during Another Story, and the thirty-third overall. It is a remix of 4-5.

Description

4-C shares the basic Cyber Space theme along with other stages, while presenting floating chunks of islands based on Green Hill Zone, specifically taken from the specific depiction from the console/PC version of Sonic Generations. The majority of background islands contain bushes, flowers and palm trees adorning them, along with wooden fences, blue rocky blocks and totem poles of various types and sizes. As such, all chunks of floating islands have brown checker patterned soils with light green grass. The terrain often contain familiar elements such as giant loops and corkscrews. Many half-pipe lines and chunks of cubes are seen in far distance of the sunset background with rapid, blue digitized sparks bypassing the screen to represent the digitized atmosphere of the stage.

Portal location

The entrance Portal to the Cyber Space stage is located in extreme north-east corner of Ouranos Island, situated just below the top of the hill on the smaller island. It requires one Portal Gear for this Portal to connect to Cyber Space.

Gameplay

4-C is a fairly linear stage with small branching paths throughout that generally lead to the same point. Many paths and platforms can be jumped over if timed correctly with enough speed. This is the second and final stage to feature the Rocket Boost gimmick, which can be obtained by hitting the green containers in the stage. Sonic will once again be racing against a Hologram Tails in this level, and beating it will reward him with a Lookout Koco. There are no Star Posts present in this stage.

Collectable locations

Number Rings

Found along the straight line at the start. Ring number 5 is to the left, and to get ring number 1 the player has to take the right path at the end of the line.

Silver Moon Rings

After a long gallery-like segment at the halfway point of the stage (according to the Hologram Tails progress indicator), the player will see a loop and a path to its right. Taking the loop will take to the first ring. Then, the player will have to jump from the slope after the 270° Rocket Boost turn to get to a platform with the second ring. After a smaller gallery, the third ring will be located in the middle of a circle of Rocket Boost containers suspended in midair over the path, requiring a jump. Getting this ring and a container will send the player to a straight path containing the last two rings, as well as the hidden goal.
