Portal 4-B or just 4-B, is a Cyber Space stage in Sonic Frontiers. It is the second Cyber Space stage in Ouranos Island during The Final Horizon, and the thirty-second overall. It is a remix of 3-1.

Description[]

Main articles: 3-1 and Green Hill

4-B shares the basic Cyber Space theme along with other stages, while presenting floating chunks of islands based on Green Hill Zone, specifically taken from the specific depiction from the console/PC version of Sonic Generations. The majority of background islands contain bushes, flowers and palm trees adorning them, along with wooden fences, blue rocky blocks and totem poles of various types and sizes. As such, all chunks of floating islands have brown checker patterned soils with light green grass. The terrain often contain familiar elements such as giant loops and corkscrews. Many half-pipe lines and chunks of cubes are seen in far distance of the background with rapid, blue digitized sparks bypassing the screen to represent the digitized atmosphere of the stage.

Portal location[]

The entrance Portal to the Cyber Space stage is located in the south-east corner of Ouranos Island, situated along the edge of a peninsula. It requires one Portal Gear for this Portal to connect to Cyber Space.

Gameplay[]

4-B is a large, open stage with many paths to choose from with the stage's primary gimmick and hazard being an excessive amount of falling platforms. This is the first stage where Sonic will be pitted in a race against a Hologram Tails, and if Sonic beats it, he'll complete one of the missions and be rewarded with a Lookout Koco. There are no Star Posts present in this stage.

Collectable locations[]

Number Rings[]

  • Following the path after the area where the Silver Moon Rings are located, the player will come across a rail next to a row of red platforms. Riding the rail will take Sonic to the upper path.
    • Number Ring 5 can be found immediately on the left hand side of the path.
    • Number Ring 4 can be found on the left path that opens up on the wooden platform structure after the ramp.
    • Number Ring 3 can be found after the loop on the grassy path. Avoid the Dash Panels, and it will be in the center of four of them on a raised ledge on the right side.
    • Number Ring 2 can be found at the end of another area of red wooden platforms near a curved path. Sonic can reach this area by boosting or using the Spin Dash to it from the top of the hill where Number Ring 3 is.
    • Number Ring 1 can be found immediately after Number Ring 2 by using the Homing Attack on the enemies, where it is on the grassy path after another section of falling red platforms.

Silver Moon Rings[]

  • The Silver Moon Rings are located near the beginning of the stage, on an area made of red and green platforms. Care must be taken when traversing here as the red platforms will fall after standing on them. One of the Silver Moon Rings is found at the entrance to the area, while the other four can be found at each of the corners.

Animals[]

  • At the very beginning of the level, instead of going down the path, the player should Sonic around after gaining control of him, where a Rocky will be there waiting. The drop-off zone is simply down the path on a raised ledge to the right.
  • In the same area as the Silver Moon Rings, immediately in the bottom right corner is a Flicky. The drop-off zone is located at the end of the area, at the start of the grassy path.
  • In the grassy area full of Dash Panels where Number Ring 3 is located, a Picky can be found at the bottom near the ledge. The drop-off zone is simply up the path, at the top of the hill. Sonic must avoid the Dash Panels so he will not drop the Animal.
