3D Sonic the Hedgehog is a Nintendo 3DS port of the 16-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) for the Sega Mega Drive. It was developed by M2 and released digitally in 2013 as the third entry in the 3D Classics series of 3D ports of retro Sega games for the Nintendo 3DS, and in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Sega Mega Drive.

It was later released on Sega 3D Classics Collection in 2016. As part of the Sega Ages series for Nintendo Switch, a follow-up to the 3D Classics series, Sega Ages: Sonic the Hedgehog was released in 2018.
