The entrance Portal to the Cyber Spacestage is located north of the large volcano on the main island, along the north-west coast, northeast of M-061. The player is required to collect one Portal Gear for gaining access to the stage.
Gameplay[]
The gameplay is in 2.5D. Sometimes the camera will point at an angle for the player to see what is ahead of the layout. There are trails of Rings, Spikes in floors and walls, series of Horizontal Bars, Grind Rails creating loops, moving and disintegrating platforms.
Overview[]
Sonic will run and leap off a ramp, during which a cursor will point at the Horizontal Bar up ahead. Use the Homing Attack on it and time the jump to reach the Dash Ring and the road above. If it fails, watch out for the gap below while navigating across the layout. The green road bends up and flattens, where there's a rounded spike trap that must be jumped over. There will be a series of Horizontal Bars. If they fail they need to navigate the landscape carefully. Mind the gaps and the spiked walls. Nailing them all will take Sonic to a rail leading to an Accelerator Gun. Press the action button and Sonic will be launched to a looped rail. Sonic will approach another Horizontal Bar, reachable with a Homing Attack, towards the next Accelerator Gun. Pressing the Action Button will give the player an opportunity to go for the Red Star Ring, and is a quicker path, while pressing the Jump button is ideal for collecting rings. Whichever path the player takes, they will soon find a rail which corkscrews down a 'tree' and terminates with a spring, leading to the only Star Post of this stage.
When Sonic gets to the final section, make sure while Sonic's going around the landscape to keep an eye out for any gimmicks that the player can ascend up, such as the Horizontal Bars, as the Portal Gate is on the highest platform. Falling down is unlikely to result in losing a life as he would be going through an earlier section.
Once past the cylindrical spikes, the player has to take the dash panel to its right. As Sonic goes up the quarter-slant, keep it straight by the time Sonic goes airborne. He will fly through the Dash Ring and land on the rail leading to the first Red Star Ring.
Along the lower route, the player has to jump over the walls of spikes and break the Wooden Container to reach the second Red Star Ring.
Past the looped rails, cross over the poles towards the Dash Ring, which takes Sonic to the third Red Star Ring.
After using the cannon timing the swing perfectly, Sonic will land on the Grind Rail leading to the fourth Red Star Ring.
Taking the three Horizontal Bars above and timing all three jumps to perfection will lead to the fifth Red Star Ring.
This level is the only Cyber Space level in Sonic Frontiers to have a "3D in 2D" glitch, a glitch that also appears in several other Sonic the Hedgehog games starting with Sonic Unleashed. The "3D in 2D" glitch can also be performed in the Open Zone areas as well.
