1977 is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He is one of the Spirits of the Years Past and is responsible for leading his corresponding year on its intended course.
Appearance[]
1977 resembles a male human teenage. Everything on his person is light blue, including his mohawk, skin, and clothing. His clothing itself consists of a sleeveless shirt, trousers and chains piercing his face. Like all the other Spirits of the Years Past, he dons a banner with his name on it.
History[]
New Year out[]
On the New Year's Eve of the year of 1977, the spirit of 1977 entered the Time Stream to guide his year down its intended course. Eventually, he would return to his own world.[1]
When it was time for 1999 to enter the Time Stream, 1977 and the other Spirits of the Years Past came under attack by the Time Waster, who appeared when 1930 attempted to take 1999's place. During the chaos, 1977 encountered Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary when they arrived on the scene and told them about the situation on hand and 1930's plans. After Amy and Tekno resolved the issues, 1977 invited them to celebrate New Years' with them, but the heroines declined before heading off.[1]
