1099 is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He is one of the Spirits of the Years Past and is responsible for leading his corresponding year on its intended course.
Appearance[]
1099 has blue skin, white eyes and lacks a nose. He resembles an English knight from the early medieval era, donning a light blue helmet and armor. He is notably tall, standing taller than 1868.
History[]
New Year out[]
On the New Year's Eve of the year of 1099, the spirit of 1099 entered the Time Stream to guide his year down its intended course. Eventually, he would return to his own world.[1]
When it was time for 1999 to enter the Time Stream, 1099 and the other Spirits of the Years Past came under attack by the Time Waster, who appeared when 1930 attempted to take 1999's place. After Amy Rose showed up with Tekno the Canary, who suggested they ganged up on the Time Waster, 1099 responded that the spirits could not touch the monster without getting their year erased from history. After Amy resolved the crisis, 1099 saw her and Tekno take off after thanking them.[1]
