Portal 1-7 or just 1-7, is a Cyber Space stage in Sonic Frontiers. It is the seventh and last Cyber Space stage in Kronos Island, and the seventh one overall.

Description[]

Main article: Eternal Highway

1-7 is features the Cyber Space taking stage elements from Skyscraper Scamper and Speed Highway seen previously in 1-3. Here though, the background features a nighttime setting.

Portal location[]

The Portal is located on top of a tiny rock spire off the southwestern coast of Kronos Island, but access to it is locked behind a puzzle. By activating a trio of glowing pillars on the mainland and then hitting the switch nearby, Sonic will spawn a Grind Rail to an adjacent spire, containing a set of two similar pillars. Activating that switch will unlock a second Grind Rail, providing access to the Portal. Unlike majority of Portals in Kronos Island, Portal 1-7 does not require any Portal Gears to gain access to the stage.

Gameplay[]

1-7 is a normal stage. Its primary gimmicks are the Horizontal Bars, Grinding, Balloons and the Light Speed Dash. The only hazards in this stage are enemies, the bottomless pits and the Iron Balls. There is also a Hint Ring in this stage, teaching the player about the Light Speed Dash.

Overview[]

The stage starts with Sonic dropping from the air. From here, the player has to go forward, until they reach a Hint Ring. There, the player has to turn right, either by using the Light Speed Dash in the upper route or turning right traditionally on the lower path. Either way, they will reach a series of Grind Rails that lead to a Star Post. Here, the player will encounter the first enemy, a helicopter. Sonic has to go forward until reach he reaches a second section of Grind Rails.

The player will have to choose from the upper path, which consists in an automated section where Sonic jumps from Spring to Spring, or the lower path, which has a tank enemy and a Pulley. Regardless of the chosen path, they will reach the next Star Post. Here, there will be three paths: The right one, which will lead them into a Grind Rail, the left one, which will launch the player into the air into some Balloons and Dash Rings and the middle one, which consists in a Light Speed Dash. All three paths will result in going through a Loop and then into a Spring, allowing the player to catch a Horizontal Bar, which will lead them to the upper path. If they fail to catch it however, they can go the lower path, which is just as fast.

After the two paths become a single one again, there will be the third and the last Grinding section. After it, go straight forward and Sonic will reach the Portal Gate.
