True Blue: The Best of Sonic the Hedgehog - Album ten jest kompilacją utworów, wyprodukowany przez Wave Master Entertainment, którego słynny kompozytor muzyki z Sonic Team, Jun Senoue, jest członkiem. Został wydany w dniu 23 stycznia 2008 roku, tylko w Japonii. Jest to pierwszy tom chronologii "Best of Sonic the Hedgehog", a jego kontynuacją jest True Colors. Posiada zbiór różnych utworów pamiętnych z całej serii Sonic the Hedgehog, od klasycznych melodii do nowoczesnych piosenek także piosenkę z serialu anime Sonic X.

Album zawiera również cztery ekskluzywne utwory bonusowe: remiks "A New Venture" w Sonic Rush Adventure nazwany "Surfin 'SRA Remix", wersję Crush 40 "Seven Rings in Hand", zremiksowaną wersję Juna Senoue Angel Island Zone, który został wykonany w Super Smash Bros. Brawl, oraz remiks "Open Your Heart" przez amerykańskiego muzyka, Bentleya Jonesa. Istnieją również wersje zremasterowane piosenek Crush 40 "Live & Learn" oraz "What I'm Made Of ...", zremiksowany przez Masahiro Fukuhara w sierpniu 2007 roku.
