Sonic and the Blade of Courage (ソニックと勇気のつるぎ Sonikku to Yūki no Tsurugi,? "Sonic en het Mes van Moed"), af te korten naar SBC (ソニ勇 Soniyū,? "SBC"), is een Japanse mangareeks dat wordt uitgebracht door CoroCoro Comic in samenwerking met Sega gebaseerd op de Sonic the Hedgehog-serie.
De mangareeks baseert zich op een origineel verhaal rond Sonic the Hedgehog.
De manga, gemaakt door Yuki Imada begon op 13 juni 2025 met de publicatie van Sonic and the Blade of Courage nr. 01. Een officiële internationale uitgave met Engelse vertalingen zal later uitkomen.[1][2]
De manga werd op 28 april 2025 aangekondigd via de obi van de fysieke release van The Jet Black Hedgehog: Shadow the Hedgehog.[3] Minder dan een maand later, op 15 mei 2025, werd de manga officieel aangekondigd met een advertentie in de juninummer van 2025 van CoroCoro, waarin werd aangekondigd dat de publicatie volgende maand van start zou gaan. Drie previewpagina's werden ook onthuld in een apart supplement.
Er werd op 12 juni 2025 bevestigd dat een internationale Engels-vertaalde versie ergens in de toekomst zal worden uitgebracht.[1]

Sadly, we have been made aware of many cases where Yuki Imada's previous series, Shikkoku no Harinezumi: Shadow the Hedgehog, was screenshotted and uploaded without permission on social media sites such as X or on YouTube. In the worst cases, entire chapters were uploaded.
Manga series can only continue with the support of many readers. Uploading screenshots of manga to social media or blogs without the permission of the copyright holder, even without malicious intent, is a violation of copyrights. If copyright violations continue, manga artists will no longer be able to create new manga.
Likewise, to protect Imada's new series, Sonic to Yuki no Tsurugi, we request that readers do not upload images from the manga without permission from the copyright holder (beyond the cases of quoting permitted by copyright law). We also request that you do not repost or distribute links to malicious posts that violate copyrights. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
For our readers overseas, we are making every effort to prepare overseas editions of Imada's previous series, Shikkoku no Harinezumi: Shadow the Hedgehog, and his new series, Sonic to Yuki no Tsurugi.
