Lego does this stuff sometimes, sometimes they have 300 dollar sets and just reuse a basic Minifig that comes in 30 other sets rather than making an exclusive, or not making a piece despite it existing in the video games

Well you actually can die if you are flatlined but you can be brought back through a defibrillator. I’m saying that in a people using that logic have seemed to ignore that. Heck if someone caused you to flatline and you are brought back, it’s not clarified as a murder it’s clarified as an ATTEMPTED murder.
In IDW issue 56 it’s implied that Surge temporarily stopped Sonic’s heart. Some argue that means Surge killed Sonic and I’m disproving that claim using a very similar situation in another game. The situation in Origins is an example I am very knowledgeable of so I’m using that as an example on why this line of thinking is wrong.

I don’t understand why people say Surge killed him
Has anyone who says that NOT play Batman: Arkham Origins.
For context in the game Batman was put in an unwinnibile situation. Joker’s strapped himself to an electric chair whose battery is being charged by a heart monitor on Bane. If the monitor is removed it explodes killing everyone nearby. So either Batman kills Bane saving Joker and breaking his one rule, Bane kills Batman, or Batman takes too long and Joker fries, and Batman failed to save a life. But in this game Batman has gauntlets that conduct electricity so he has a plan. He stops Banes heart and restarts it. Saving Bane, Joker and himself all at once without anyone dying. See why I’m bringing this up? If you argue that Surge killed Sonic by that very same logic, Batman killed Bane. This isn’t even a straw man this is almost the EXACT same situation only with the positions of the hero and Villain reversed. The only one to EVER kill Sonic in this franchise it’s Mephiles, he stabbed Sonic in the back with a giant energy lance, and he only came back because of the Chaos Emeralds, AFTER a very long stage where you can get an S rank at NEARLY 11 minutes.
I’m saying this game did the twist of Eggman being Eggman Nega in Rivals 1 and made it WORK
I always loved the idea of Nega actually being a talentless hack who is only a threat because of others. I think that’s an interesting concept.
Being a carbon copy of Eggman with not enough differences to justify him being a different character.
