I can't stand Nintendo milking a game that's been out for 7 years now. They already did it with Mario Kart 8 which was 4 years old and New Super Mario Bros U which was almost 9 years and barely added anything. However, the only difference between those two games and Smash is that the Wii U was such a commercial failure that it kinda made sense to port their game to Switch, which was more successful and accessible; same with Lost World when it got ported to PC. Smash is already on switch and backwards compatible on Switch 2. It would just be blatant milking if they made a deluxe

I actually really like Zavok. While ppl still call him a Bowser clone, he's actually slightly more powerful in his base form as, at least according to Lost World, can grow giant without magic unlike Bowser, which is quite admirable
I'd actually argue that Sonic has more memorable bosses than Mario. Especially in recent times, the games always have new villains to defeat. Albeit, Mario Odyssey has some cool bosses, and New Super Mario Bros and Sunshine also have cool bosses, but all the other games either just spam Bowser/Bowser Jr/Koopalings/Boom Boom bosses which gets super boring. Meanwhile, since Adventure, 90% of the mainline Sonic games have unique and mostly memorable villains. Those villains actually have stakes in the story rather than just being a slight inconvenience.
